I don't know if he'll get $4Million a season but he may get close to 3 or even 3.5 for 2 seasons or so. Maybe 4 million for 2 seasons. Detroit really needs to rethink and come up with a better strategy of paying players next season. Not that Detroit has done a bad job but come this off-season with the potential loss of Franzen and Hossa as well as a few other good players and with not knowing for sure if the Cap is going to go down 1 Mill or if it is going to go up 1-2 Mill. My feeling is that if it goes down we are going to lose Hossa however if it goes up we may be able to keep both Hossa and Franzen. Just have to see what happens in the coming months.

I like the idea of maybe bringing in someone new from a different team to maybe the team which now can only happen this coming off-season as the trade deadline has already passed. With the situation that the Wings have with goaltenders I don't know as they would do that. Conklin is a free agent after this season Ozzie still has I think about 2 or 3 more seasons left in his contract with Detroit. Next season Howard can't go back down to GR without having to go through waivers. Ozzie isn't playing well right now there's not doubt about that. I really want to wait and see what happens during the Playoffs before I'd really commit to anything. What I think will happen based on what happens in the playoffs is that the Wings will re-sign Ty Conklin since he has been the better goalteder this season. Ozzie may be moved for maybe even Clemmensen or Howard will be brought up as Conks back-up. Or Howard and Ozzie may be moved free up cap and go after a goalie a little bit better. Now I'm not saying Luongo or anything but maybe someone who is solid and can fit into the team system. I would like to see Howard play for the Wings but if he isn't ready he may be moved. It will be an interesting off-season coming up. If it were up to me I'd maybe trade Ozzie to a team and Howard to another team to maybe get a few more draft picks. Maybe even trade Ozzie and like Samuelsson to get a high draft pick seein as Detorit is going to make the playoffs and won't have a high draft pick. Not that the Wings need anyone in a hurry like the Hawks needed Kane in 07 or Stamkos in 08 but someone who we can develop. I like your idea I just don't know which road the Wings would take.

To me the only thing that matters is the Cup so if they are which I doubt but if they are playing this way to play better in the playoffs I'd take it to enjoy another Stanley Cup Championship!!

I don't think Hossa will leave, he wants to stay in Detroit and the Wings want him it's just a matter of Cap Space.

I could be wrong but I don't see Chris Neil coming to Detroit, his style of play isn't what the Wings really need right now. If they want that type of play they need to bring up Downey or McCarty. Right now I think all the roster spots are full as far as the team that's on the ice. I just don't see Neil fitting into Detroit right now. I've been wrong before and I may be again about this.

I'd like to see Edmonton get Chris Neil. Add Neil to a team that has already got Steve MacIntyre and you've got one tough tough team there. Both players played for my favorite Minor League team here in West Michigan only not the same season(s).

Should be a great game. The Wings will need to bring there game and play a strong 60 minutes of hockey to beat the Sharks on Wednesday. I just hope the Wings can rebound after this loss at Minnestoa to come back and play a fantastic game against San Jose.

I'd like to keep both but if it came down to just one........................ I'd have to think about it some more lol.

I'm glad that Quincey is doing so well in LA. I really wish we could have kept him in Detroit but that's the way of it sometimes.

Pavs is a great player and I owuld have to agree with you that he is the Best player in the WoRlD!!

Filps is great player I think he will have a bright future in the NHL.
