I think it was good call not to suspend Zetterberg, I mean it obviously wasn't intentional and really there was nothing Z could have done to avoid the hit. He was already committed to the check he couldn't avoid Nikitin. It was just an unfortunate play and he got injured. No suspension necessary.

I'd hate to see Stuart go but I guess I'd want to see him traded and possibly get something good for him rather than just lose him to FA and open up the cap-space. I imagine the team will look fairly different next season with a few new faces and some older ones going bye bye but it would be nice to keep as much of our core as possible to have a building block to go on to help us continue to contend for a Cup.

Both good choices and worthy of being ASG Captains but I would have rather seen the league pick one player from each conference like last year when it was Team Staal vs Team Lidstrom. I know that's probably just how it worked out last season but it just a personal want/opnion. I'll be rooting for whatever team Dats and Jimmy are on. However if they get split up I just won't care and root for a good game with a lot of good action. Go Wings!!

While I'm thrilled to have Michigan Host a Winter Classic and see the Wings in it again that's just it. I know the league's options are limited to where they can have these outdoor games with so many teams in the south not having the weather to be able to host a Winter Classic I'd still like to see other teams in the WC even if a team like Tampa Bay can't host it it would be nice to see them or some other team maybe even Phoenix even if it means a Northern Based Team hosting it. However I'm excited that we get one and I will definetly enjoy it. Go Wings!!

My friend and I have different opnions about Rupp scoring the first NYR Goal than doing the Jagr Salute. He says it was disrespectful I say it wasn't. I don't want to get into reason's right now but I would like to know what you all think and what opnions you have about this. Let's not start a Holy War over this but open for mature discussion.

I didn't think it was disrespectful. I thought it was just another goal celebration, I know that Jagr used to do that but it's not like the man has a patten on that celebration. My friend is a Wings fan but we do vary in opnions when it comes to certain aspects of hockey. He thought it was disrepectful to Jagr because he thought it was a mock on Jagr. I explained my point of view and he expalined his and I just thought this would be a good topic to see if maybe I was being insensitive about the situation or if he was over-reacting.

Glad to see they picked Liddy to play in the Commercial. Personally I would've picked and easter and and western conf players but it was still a funny commercial. Way to go Captain Hollywood!!

As much as I hate to admit it I have to say yes. The Blackhawks are definetly very serious Cup Contenders. They have a solid line-up and things are really happening for them. Their top players are playing like they should and they are getting offense when they need it from their 3rd and 4th lines. Goaltending is pretty strong so I'd have to say yes Chicago could definetly win the Cup this season. Put I'm crossing my fingers that they won't.

I get what you're saying but I really have to agree with Cevari at least a little bit. Wings can't win EVERY Game but yes it would be nice to get as many points as we can so yes I'd obviously rather take an OT Loss than a Regulation Loss. As a team you fight for every point every game, I'm sure the Wings would love to force some of these regulation games into OT and at least get a point but it's really easier said than done. Every game is a grinde and the season is a gride, I haven't given up on the Wings POSSIBLY catching up to the Hawks and taking the Central Division again but this team has struggled the biggest goal would be for them to just get the points that they can get and improve throuhout this season.

He probably will be overworked by the time the playoffs come, hopefully not. Wings are going to have either start Conklin a few games or risk Jimmy going on burn-out. I know Ty has not been up to par but I'm not quite sure what the Wings can do. Conks is going to have to find it in himself to get better and improve so that the Wings can start relying on him a little bit and give Jimmy at least a small break. I'm not sure if the Wings can trade Ty being he only signed for one season and not to mention not sure who's out there to make a trade for and who's willing to give up a decent back-up for Conklin. Hopefully the Wings will figure something out before the push Jimmy to far.

I'm not happy about the Preds winning but it it was it is. What I'm still very pissed about is how the Nashville fans can taunt Jimmy when they are down 3-2 in the game and than they did it again when they tied it. I consider the GWG a Fluky goal but for the fans to get rewarded after that display of pure idiocy just sucks. I mean I've taunted goalies before like those chants they were doing last night but when I do it it's usually in a game where my team is winning by more than 4 goals and I've only ever done it at a Minor League or Junior League games. I've never taunted an NHL Goalie. I know that's probably the least of our worries but stuff like that just really pisses me off. Fuggin Red-Neck HillBilly Deluxe Mother F*!%ers. Sorry just blowing off some steam I just didn't like that one bit. I hate playing Nashville anytime but they are a good team I'll give them that. Go Wings!!

The only reason I ask is to let any of you know that live around the Muskegon area or even if you live somewhere in Michigan and can make the drive on Wednesday December 28th the Muskegon Lumberjacks will be playing a regular season game and during one of the intermissions my Sled Hockey Team will be doing a demo. Than on Friday December 30th my team the Grand Rapids Sled Wings will play a game Vs the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The cost for the Lumberjacks Regular season game will be whatever ticket prices are for Dec 28, However on December 30th the cost is FREE but we are accepting donations to help support our team. I'd love to see anyone and everyone out there that can make it. Both games start at 7:15!! Thanks.

With Mursak returning soon I'd rather see the Wings keep Conner up as long as it's cap possible and just rotate players. I know that can mess up a chemistry but Emmerton has been waiting to be up for a while and granted he hasn't played quite up to par he can't get better if he doesn't play at the NHL level so. I'd rather see a rotation of players if that's possible. On the other hand let's not forget about Brunnstrom and possibly Gustav both have been in the line-up for the Wings at some point this season and haven't done to terribly bad. Maybe give them another look at some point this season.

Makes me want to drop the gloves at my next tournament!!

Wings aren't in the East but I do like the way this is set up. I can't wait until next season to see how it pans out!!

The kid has a ton of talent and potential so I can see why the Wings want to keep him and develop him. He's some pretty good Prospect Camps and Training Camps over the years. I admit I haven't payed as much attention to his juior team stats as I'd like to but he has been very impressive all the times I've seen him. Given some time I think he will be a bright star in the NHL.

Sharks for sure in the West. East I'd have to say the Pens. However I think there are a lot of quality teams that once they get into the playoffs can be deadly for any team. The playoffs always bring the best out of a team; as it should be but there are some other teams that have enough talent to win on talent alone.

Hated seeing the injury I sure hope he's ok. Hopefully the only injury he sustained was a broken jaw and nothing anymore serious. He will be missed but the Wings team is very deep and luckily Wings have some players they can fill his spot until he returns. Get Well Soon Pat!!

They are both great players, I really wouldn't care who get's it as long as it's the best man for the job.

I don't really know whats going on exactlly with him but I really don't know why the Wings Re-signed him. I said that at the day they signed him. Not that he isn't a good player we just need to give our young kids a little more ice time and we can't do that with him in the lineup, not saying he's usless or ragging on him I just would rather see our younger players play more so we can get them developed better for the coming seasons.

What sucks is that I was watching and changed the channel just for a minute and come back to FSD with no game. Major bummer. I hope they get the power back on ASAP I'd like to see more of this game. Great start for Wings!!
