I think this topic falls under the 'careful what you wish for' category. Think about it... do you REALLY want Pav or Z getting as much national attention as Crosby? One could argue that the pressure placed on him has seriously stunted his development. I mean, look how wonderfully Pavs and Z have blossomed before our eyes. Has Crosby made such significant strides? I don't think so. He doesn't look all that different from the day he entered the league. Granted, I don't see him play 82 games a year, but still. Malkin on the other hand... Thank God Crosby is the media darling. That just means that our guys can relax and have fun. I'm pretty sure being the media darling isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Not to be argumentative... but why do you care so much? We're happy. The players are happy. Who cares who gets more face time on TV? Why is it so important to you that certain Wings get 'credit'? Just wondering...

Not much better, but a step in the right direction. Exactly. If they are already hugging the bottom, what difference does it make to have his salary go towards the cap? Are there many subtle differences between IR and LTIR? Aside from the cap aspect? I honestly don't know. Is there anything to gain for either side by having him remain on IR as opposed to moving him to LTIR?
