Lose faith? Did I miss something? Are we out of a playoff spot all the sudden?
-
Wow... No Datsyuk No Zetterberg No Franzen No Kronwall Lids just needs to fake an injury and we're golden. The only thing that would be better than not being chosen for the ASG would be if they just got rid of it altogether.

I tend to agree about that call. I watched the replay and Bert definitely made a little twisting motion with his stick. It looked like a reflex move, but he did it and it was pretty obvious imo. I was pissed at the refs until I saw the replay, then I was pissed at Bert.

He pulled me off my seat on one of em in the third.

Ya, MAM line KICKS ASS!
-
He is awesome. Speaking of Helm, me and my gf were counting how many times Ken and Lar mentioned Helm during play. We gave up. His name comes up constantly. It's like he never leaves the ice and he always has the puck. That kid is developing way faster and better than I thought he would.

Nah, I don't think you are bashing. Hence the smiley. But like I said in the other post (ninja edit), Zetterberg got absolutely owned by Deuchene along the boards and that lead directly to a goal. s*** happens. As far as face-offs go, Babcock needs to lock half a dozen guys inside of a practice arena and turn the lights out Miracle style and make them do face-offs until they cry. "WHO DO YOU PLAY FOR?" "WHO DO YOU PLAY FOR?"
-
He's also scored three goals in the last few games and has been a monster in the offensive zone, especially when keeping the puck. This isn't new, we should all be used to this by now. Amazing offensive skill and vision, occasional giveaways and bad decisions in the defensive zone. When HASN'T this been Rafalski's game? It was the same way on day one and it's not gonna change any time soon. I mean really... did you see Zetterberg get owned by Deuchene(?) along the boards? That lead DIRECTLY to a goal. s*** happens. But I know that Rafalski is probably the best default whipping boy the Wings have... so bash away. The face-off dot is a bigger enemy than Rafalski though imo, as you eluded to in your post. That's what really burns my ass.

Horrible bump. I think someone is trying to compensate for Flip having another mediocre season. Little misdirection can go a long way.
-
You don't just package and ship elite, puck-moving defensemen...
-
Regardless of whether or not Mac decides to sit down at a table and make some money with him, Claude is and always will be a piece of s*** coward scumbag. I agree.
-
And what is the deal with Marian Hossa and the Sedin twins?
-
Huh? Wow. That's true. Why did I think he missed a lot more?
-
That would be a pretty sick line. I like Clarkson too, but not enough to part with anyone yet. One thing on Hudler. Even when he isn't playing well, he is LOVED in that locker room. He's one of those guys that helps keep the other guys loose and in a good mood. I don't want to overstate that fact, but I don't wanna understate it either. It's a relevant contribution. Granted, that's just a bonus if he's doing what he's supposed to be doing on the ice, but it's a relevant factor when determining his value to the team imo.
-
Agreed. Things would be going a lot different for Kovy if he had actually landed in LA imo.
-
Seems kind of greeeezy to me.

Not to pile on Chicago but I think they did the worst. New Jersey's contract to Kovy is obviously the elephant in the room, but it's one guy and his cap hit isn't horrifying. The Devils will be easier to recoup imo. I remember back in the offseason when Chicago fans were basically regarding a lot of the important role players lost as easily replaceable pieces. If Chicago fans are missing any of those guys now... wait till the playoffs. Plus the exodus from their team helped make Atlanta a contender in the East. Plus they have Kopecky still. The best besides Atlanta imo is Tampa Bay. Pretty amazing what inserting a legendary leader into the mix will do for an organization. Can't wait for the inevitable Detroit/Tampa Bay SCF's.

With a full roster I'd be inclined to agree with you... but after losing one of our top defensive Dmen on top of everyone else. Not so much. Our defensive deficiencies won't be truly worked out until more guys are back anyway, so just enjoy the win.
-
It's a fine day to be a Wings fan. They hung in there and grinded them down playoff style in the third. Take a big whiff nucks. The speed and tenacity from our young guys is some of the most exciting stuff I've seen in a while. Bodies flying everywhere.
-
I almost instinctively rooted for Sammy on the play...
-
Nice logic. Does that apply to me and my opinion too?
-
We've won our last 5 road games in a row. s***... we need to make a deal NOW! And Hudler isn't an 'experiment'. He's a prospect that has come up through the system.
-
Nah... He was never a star. He was and is a solid contributor. It takes more than one Selke and a bunch of PK shifts to become an actual 'STAR'. Stars score on breakaways more than once a decade. Besides... I'm a star in my own right too. Hey! So are you!

Huh? That's a little strong in describing Draper... dontcha think?
