Ya... Conklin looks terrible and a fluke goal to start the second.
-
In other news... Chicago continues to look like s***. edit... Conklin looks worse. Lol.
-
This one is a little more disturbing.
-
Exactly...

That's actually Green's hand on the right (his left). He's fondling his own boob.

I think a lot of you are underestimating what kind of affect an injury like that can have. If his grip is affected, it could change (worsen) every part of his game that deals with handling the puck with his stick. Shooting, stick-handling, passing, sweeping his stick, poke checking, etc, etc... Not trying to be negative and I do agree this thread is a little premature... but it doesn't really look good. That picture seems weird. I would have expected to see his fingers swollen. This part is kinda encouraging. ."

No. Green isn't wearing a Wings shirt. I'm more concerned about the hug from behind.

Why are people still so obsessed with Quincey? He wasn't that great when he was here. He's had a couple decent seasons and now he's off to a s***ty start. Why do people lament the loss of this mediocre/slightly above average player more than the slew of other mediocre/slightly above average players the Wings have parted ways with? He wasn't awesome when he was here. He was decent after he left. New reclamation project... lets go after Quincey and see if the Wings management can reincarnate him back into a mediocre player. Get it done Kenny!

I'm not normally one to be overconfident but the depth we have this season is amazing. I mean, we just may have lost Modano forever and Hudler has been a total bust so far and it's like 'oh well'. I know we're a long ways off, but the only thing I see stopping this team is a rash of injuries again. Hopefully they appeased the hockey gods last season and didn't enrage them further by making the playoffs in spite of them.
-
Obviously it's better if he is playing. That's a no brainer. I was making a statement about the playoff run and being optimistic about Modano's chances of coming back and participating in it. What's best for Modano is another discussion alltogether.
-
Not to mention a healthy (well, rested) Modano going into the post season. This playoff run has all the makings of being EPIC. Can't wait either.

Let's not forget 'loose' instead of 'lose'. Been rooting for Bert since his first stint. Awesome to see him productive and happy. He said something before the game last night about "feeding the Mule and keeping him happy". Great stuff.

Then obviously you haven't taken a second to admire some of the old architecture. There most certainly are beautiful portions of the city unless you are one of those people that fixates solely on blight. Lot's of you people around. You have a lot of company. There's lots of beauty in Detroit... unfortunately, people like you only see beauty in Wal-Mart signs and strip mall coney islands.

This. Don't miss the guy at all... why would I? We have his replacement in Hudler.
-
I gotta disagree a little... the word used NHL wide to describe the actions took against Lids and Datsyuk was 'suspended'. I mean, you can call it 'missing a game' if you want and leave it at that for all I care... but it most certainly was considered a suspension at the time. Isn't that the very definition of suspension? You could play, but you're not allowed. Just because Lids and Dats were ok with it doesn't make it any less of a suspension imo. EDIT: Ahhhhhh... nice ninja-edit.

Ovechkin, Kovalchuk heard laughing after Caps' blowout loss
Broken 16 replied to toby91_ca's topic in General
Yep... typical coach-speak. Use the media to make a point and then use the media to downplay it after the fact. The media is nothing more than a tool to these guys. More class than Ovie. -

I don't think anyone is pissed. At least not on this forum. But there is obviously a rift between Ovie and his coach. That seems pretty newsworthy. -
Pretty much hate every other team without exception. Was gonna try to warm up to Tampa but, nah... hate em. In fact, I even think all opposing players look like twisted ugly f***s only a mother could love.

Here... since you are obviously too lazy to read the article: As if I personally care what Ovie and Kovie were talking about. And like it matters. Based on the above clipping, Boudreau made his disgust totally obvious for all to see. Not just once... but a couple times. The content of Ovie and Kovie's conversation is completely irrelevant. -

Thank you. I knew you'd see things my way. (See... I can selectively edit too) -

Lol... you can't blame the media when the head coach makes his displeasure blatantly obvious. Blame the coach if you want to blame anybody. He knew exactly what he was doing and where he was when he was doing it. He wanted the media to see his displeasure, obviously. Pretty sure he's dealt with the media a few times before. -

This really isn't debatable. This isn't a case of the media blowing things out of proportion and creating things out of nothing. Ovie's head coach was displeased with his conduct and made it known. The only perception that matters here is the head coach's... and he was pissed. Seriously, you guys are making excuses for Ovie like he's your son in pee wee. EDIT: If he was close enough to glare at him, then Ovie should have been somewhere else. Seriously... what kind of an idiot must you be to not be aware of your surroundings when you are grabassing? I don't know how many square feet that arena is, but I'm pretty sure Ovie could have found a few square feet that weren't in his coaches line of sight if he felt like pinching Kovie's butt.
