Oh... Damn...

Thank God!!! A hockey game where I don't have to hear the name Sidney Crosby every 30 seconds. GO WINGS!!! Wings win... 4-0.
-
Maybe he is Mario's pet twink?
-
Brodeur looked like a stumbling fool out there. Luongo didn't. That's about the only difference as far as I can tell. I think the decision was based less on who was the better goalie and more on sending a message to the rest of the team. It worked.
-
Totally disappointed and bummed still but very proud of our team. Canada has the gold but I thought our team had the balls out there. They were awesome.
-
Yes... BUT IT WAS STILL THEIR GAME! Lol
-
No... It's a game that many, many countries compete in. Maybe it did start here... but I don't feel any kind of sense of ownership about it. You're starting to muddle the "It's our game" and the "we own this game" statements. Saying "We own this game" implies dominance. And you guys can certainly claim that. Saying "It's our game" implies that it's your game and nobody elses. At the very least... the second statement sounds very, very selfish and insecure. Like I said, I'm just saying that it sounds really dumb when you guys claim ownership of hockey. And you guys do it ALL THE TIME.
-
Defending what is yours? Lol... thanks for validating my post with a completely moronic statement. Let it go already. You guys started a great sport and it's spread internationally. That's enough to be proud of without embarrassing yourself with proclamations of ownership. It just sounds really, really dumb when you guys say that. Outsiders perspective. Take it or leave it. Hopefully you leave it, because I always get a good laugh whenever one of you says that. Kinda like the way I laugh when I see my two nephews bickering over a toy.

Why do Canadians constantly preach this "It's our game" nonsense? Are they that insecure as a country? It's really, really weird how they always say that. It always sounds so juvenile. Like a two year old trying to ****** a lollipop from another two year old. Lol.

Why him? Why? Why? Why? Seriously... of all people... why him? -
GDT 2010 Olympic Gold Medal Game: Canada 3 vs. USA 2 (OT)

You really think it will end if Canada loses? I'm afraid not. May as well warm up to the fact that you are going to be fed a string of neverending retrospectives and focus pieces on him until he retires. We will continue to be force fed Sidney Crosby for a long, long time. I'm sorry. I really am. -
I've been lucky enough to have a chance to hang out with more than a few NHL'ers in a social setting... and I can say, beyond a shadow of a doubt... based on my experiences, that nine times out of ten, their non-famous sidekick/friend is always more cool and more fun to joke around with. Keep the athlete... I'll hang with the entourage.
-
I'm not stereotyping. I'm drawing a conclusion from my own personal experiences. Less fortunate people are quicker to entertain and have a good time. Most rich people I've been in a social setting with wait to be entertained.
-
No idea. All I know is that I've hung out with enough people from both camps to come to that conclusion. Maybe it's an ego thing.
-
Hanging out with poor people is way more fun than hanging out with rich people. I'd pass.
-
I'd pretend I was his friend and wipe boogers on his back all day.
-
Worse. That just confirms how fugly she is.
-
Nice try. I've seen you many, many times throw Crosby's name out there and show him love for no other reason that to bait someone into an argument. Deny that and you are a liar. I've seen threads where you were the second or third reply, already baiting before anyone said a negative word. So, do me a favor and peddle that bulls*** somewhere else. Thanks. Ewwwwwwwww... just realized that I've become part of your daily stroke session. <runs and showers in bleach> Oh... and guess what... I hate Crosby because his nostrils are huge.
-
Reading comprehension is tech... I said he's not good enough to be considered the only pariah in the history of sports. Obviously, he is putting up great numbers. It doesn't take a statistician like yourself to figure that one out. But to imply that he is receiving treatment from opposing fans that no other great player in sports history has received is just plain naive. The real question at hand is... why do you relentlessly rattle cages and subject others to your daily stroke session?
-
Right... because blind hatred for opposing players has never occured in sports before Sidney Crosby. He's not THAT good. Now you're the one making him into something he's not. He's not the only pariah the sports world has ever seen. There have been many, many before him that were equally hated for the same reasons. There will be many after he hangs them up, too.
-
Hating a player for any reason does not make one a sociopath. Attempting to alienate and argue with an entire faction of Wings fans that hate Crosby, on a daily basis. A HUGE faction at that, with repeated baiting attempts is much closer. Just sayin'.
-
I got it long before you ever got it. It's just stale.
-
That's pretty funny. Bait and bait all day long using Sidney Crosby, only to belittle people for responding to it. Stop sounding like a sociopath.

Mike Milbury uses 'Eurotrash game' to describe Russian hockey
Broken 16 replied to Ruys92's topic in General
Milbury is just another simpleton in a long line of simpletons in sports broadcasting.
