This is a good example of why I think the presence of Draper and Maltby in the locker room is so big. They are great at keeping things loose.

Oh, I know. I thought he had a shaky start in that game and then rebounded well. That's all you can ask from a goaltender. If he can rebound within the span of a game like that, then I think he is much more mature than some people like to give him credit for. -
I love his stay at home mentality and his work on the PK. You're right, as a #6, he is really solid. His confidence in the outlet pass should grow as he becomes more comfortable. He'll never be a Lidstrom or Rafalski obviously, but I like what he brings.

I thought Janik looked really bad last night against LA. Which sucks because I like him. It was really noticeable how bad his breakout passes are... if he even tries one. Most of the time he's content to just try and angle it off the boards. It took LA about 15 seconds to figure him out and intercept almost every one of his clearing attempts. He needs A LOT of work.

Heh, I can't follow GR as close as others. I wasn't really sure what to expect from him. I expected major consistency problems. So far so good.

Right. Because the defense had absolutely nothing to do with the puck bouncing around in the first place. 50+ shots on net and the defense saved him. Lol... go with that. That's just dumb.
