Jeremy Williams & Kris Newberry sign with Wings / GR?

If I didn't know any better, I might think you are talking about Dan Cleary. -
Penguins want Wild's Mikko Koivu and Cal Clutterbuck for Evgeni Ma

This thread is really, really dumb. Clueless fans making stupid deals over a message board? I feel like I was Rick Rolled into enduring a page of mindless Penguin fan babble... -
I also expect Homer to come back strong this year. The reason I think he catches the most grief is because he's essentially a one trick pony. Other guys can be struggling in certain areas and still be ok because they contribute in others. If Homer can't get to the net, he has no game really.
-
Right... management would refuse to pay somebody peanuts if they requested it. How's the weather in Fantasyland?
-
What does any of that other stuff have to do with the topic at hand? You asked why everyone was down on Homer and the reason is he was absolutely awful in the playoffs. Looked out of place even on his own line. That's why people are down on him. He didn't produce and appeared to have major problems just keeping up with play. He was consistently the last one into the offensive zone and the last one out to back check.
-
Actually, people get down on him because he was next to useless in the playoffs this year. Injury, tired, hangover... whatever. He was awful on both ends for most of the playoffs.
-
I don't care where he GM's... as long as it isn't the Detroit Red Wings.
-
This.

I'd like to see Hudler and Leino both. The brief appearance of Leino in the playoffs should pay huge dividends. Hopefully he uses what he learned. Hudler didn't seem to be the same after that Brown hit. I expect him to come back stronger next year. Maybe not much... but a little.

That would be Pat Verbeek. Ray was the Big Ball of Hate.

Never gonna happen but I love that lineup.

Longshot but is it possible Penguins could match what Oilers

The only thing more stupid than this thread are the Pens fans talking about a dynasty after ONE CUP WIN IN TWENTY YEARS. Seriously, what a bunch of idiots. -
I'd like to see Knuble back. Pass on Shanahan. Too slow and too lazy defensively and on the back check.
-
And twice on Sunday.
-
100% Everyone knows that the Wings lost game 6 on purpose so they could hoist the Cup at home.
-
I like how some people like to forget that the Wings are in game 7 after facing injuries that would have nuked any other team. If someone would have told me that we would be missing Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Draper and Rafalski for big chunks of time in the same playoff run and still be playing game 7 SCF's, I would have laughed my ass off. Granted, the role players are playing possessed (except Ericsson lately) but without Hossa's presence in the lineup, we are nowhere. That's how I see it anyway.
-
I think it says a lot about us as a fan base that we can tolerate Pen fans swaggering around in our forum as if they've won something. They take the obligatory abuse but nothing like the abuse we get on their boards. Once a Wings fan shows up, decent conversation turns into: "CROOOOOSBYYYY!!!1S!!!THUROXXXXXORZZ!!!111111!!"
-
Shouldn't he be suspended for laying in the crease? I coulda swore I heard some people saying this earlier in the series... [/sarc]
-
How is it possible that Pens fans are more annoying than Duck fans? Crazy.
-
Some Red Wings that I have really grown to respect in this series

QFT I also really like Staal. Him, Scuderi (sp?) and Orpik. I know I'll probably get flamed here for naming Orpik, but I like what he brings and he seems to give 100%. -
When the Wings are on their game (ie. when Datsyuk is in the lineup), that's a suicidal game plan. Wings play a puck possession game. Shots like that will either be gobbled up by Osgood for end up being scopped up by one of the D... or even a helping forward. Once that happens the transition game kicks in and if the Pens are over committed, they are toast. Your plan looks good on paper but would be very difficult to execute against a Wings team that are on their game.

One of my favorite hockey announcers. I hope he comes back.

Here... I'll even supply you with a direct quote to parade around: 96% (I upped it based on this thread) of all Pens fans I've come in contact with on message boards (especially the ones that troll Red Wing boards) are, for lack of a better word, "dips***s". There... go back to your hole and have a ball.
-
There aren't as many empty seats as you would like to believe. Sorry. Check the attendance numbers. We aren't hurting. As far as the economy affecting Pittsburgh in the past... so what? Maybe the economy sucked and the Penguins suffered. Right now, the Michigan economy sucks and the Wings are thriving. Just makes my point that one has nothing to do with the other and some things are better left unsaid.

I didn't make up a stat. I spoke from personal experience. Pens fans are, by far, the biggest dip s***s I have ever dealt with in terms of opposing fan bases. That's an opinion and the claim of 95% might even be a little low. It's THAT bad. Sorry.
