I don't know how much more of this officiating I can stomach. Late elbow after the whistle and no call? If this is the way it's gonna be from now on, I may just have to turn my back on the NHL.

Crosby is giving Z mad props. I find it amazing how some of you guys manage to spin every single thing Crosby says into a negative. He says enough stupid s*** on his own... no need to invent stuff. The article goes on to basically say that Crosby has learned from Zetterberg and the Red Wings. What higher compliment is there?

I had a friend that swore that every time he sat on the crapper, the Wings scored. So whenever they REALLY needed a goal, he went and took a seat. I don't go that far. I do think some things are taboo. Like saying the word shut-out before the final buzzer, underestimating your opponent... things like that.

But you're talking about the Ducks. A team that the Penguins have only faced, maybe, 5 times in the past three seasons and never in the playoffs. That's like us picking a random team in your conference and saying: "Well, we kicked their ass..."

Jonsey like every team that isn't the Wings. He has a grudge against the Wings because of the Bloodbath at the Joe. I'm pretty sure he was on the Avalanche.

Sergei is the prototype of the players we have today. Hopefully his contributions aren't forgotten when jersey hangin' time comes.

I like the line about dropping the gloves and beating up the Wings. Sure, we're not exactly the toughest team in the NHL, but we don't look like a bunch of skirt wearin girls fighting over a signed John Stamos photograph in every scrum, unlike the Blackhawks. I swear to God... I don't think I've seen a bigger bunch of sissies. Pretty bad when the Wings make you look that way.

That Cup was won after a shortened season. West didn't even play against the East during the regular season. In my opinion, winning the Cup that season isn't a huge statement, regardless of who won it. On a side note, I noticed you can't help but play the "make more cars" comment. FYI, when we see a poster make a remark like that, we see it as a sign of desperation. Try and be better than that. I've been to Pittsburgh many, many times (you ever been to Detroit? Seriously doubt it). Yet you will never see me bring up what a stinking cesspool it is. It's completely irrelevant.

And what I'm saying is 3 minor penalties, 1 double minor and a 5 minute major, yet the Wings only yielded one goal against against a very fast and skilled power play. I'll take that all day long.

I completely agree with you. I simply said that I think we match up better, man for man, against the Pens PP unit and that I'm far from impressed by the Pens PP. It's dangerous, sure... but most PP units in the final four are. Long story short... I don't think they would shred the Wings.

Look... we all know that you were one of the people that had unwavering faith in Osgood. We know because you keep telling everybody. Those of us that doubted him have long since acknowledged that Osgood has effectively pulled his head out of his ass. Good for us. Just looking past the stats a little and looking at match ups. I think we match up much better against the Pens PP. Sue me. Does this "consistently" also include the 5 minute major where the Hawks barely got a shot off?

I see... Osgood was concerned about his play, Babcock was concerned and Ken Holland was so concerned that he ripped Osgood's ass and basically exiled him from the team for a week. But YOU knew more than those guys. Lol... ok. Guys aren't going to be able to clear the zone every time. That's why it's called a power play. They are outnumbered. I'm not blown away by the Pens power play against the teams they have been playing. You, obviously, are. In a big way since you keep proclaiming that the Wings PK is going to be "SHREDDED". Tested, maybe. Shredded? Not so sure about that one. Hopefully time will tell. The Hawks team is young, fast and energetic. I thought we all knew this going in. Seeing the Wings get caught running around from time to time really shouldn't be much of a surprise.

I agree. Outsider keeps posting about how the Wings will get shredded by the Pens PP, but I think the Hawks PP is way more sound. I could see if the Pens were clipping at 30% or something. I think we match up well against the Pens PP.

Ya... so? Osgood sucked in the regular season. I don't think the Penguins power play is as good as the Hawks power play. And there have been stretches where the Wings looked really good against the Hawks PP.

I'm not so sure about that. I know the Wings PK has been an issue all season and all playoffs, but in the playoffs, it seems like the Wings are fundamentally sound and dangerous offensively on their PK. I know the evidence to the contrary is overwhelming, but it seems like every PP goal we give up it's: Control, control, clear, control, clear, one shot... GOAL!!!
