Agreed... Ozzy IS the s***. But that article clearly shows that fans concerns about him during the regular season weren't unfounded. Holland had to basically rip his ass and dismiss him for a weak to wake him up. According to Osgood, he was as concerned about his play as anyone. That Kovy s*** is hilarious.

Off topic, but this thread reminds me of the time we road tripped to Chicago to catch a Wings/Hawks game. This was back when The Russian Five were freaks of nature and their puck possession and passing were unbelievable. Every time the R5 got possession of the puck a buddy of mine would start yelling "Here comes the s***... here comes the s***... here comes the s***". Over and over and over and over until they lost possession or scored. It got so bad that people started to really get mad. They started throwing s*** at him. He didn't care. He kept it up until security came by and politely asked him to stop. Last thing I remember after security left was some woman behind us say: "f***in' *******".

Over on the HF boards all I see is stuff about the economy, murder rate, the Lions... lame s***. I even saw one guy start bragging about the Bulls of the 90's.

I wouldn't be so quick to ship Jiggy if I were the Ducks. Hiller was decent, but I wasn't blown away by him. He was facing a lot of perimeter shots and giving up lots of juicy rebounds.

I don't know if it's just me, but Hossa is getting downright abused in these playoffs. He was damn near bodyslammed by Pronger and it seems like guys are going out of their way to hammer him. I wonder if the players are sending him a message about his upcoming contract talks. Just a thought.

I didn't get that Ozzie is an idiot from that guys post at all. I don't think he's that far off base in assuming that the doubters give Osgood a little extra fuel. I, personally, would bet money on it.

Ozzy has made some huge saves at the right time this playoff run. No offense, but to say that he's "always the one being bailed out" is pretty moronic.

Well... the current topic isn't the original topic. The original topic was concerning wether or not other players in the league are taking exception to Hossa basically taking less money to remain on a stacked team. I can see where players from other teams might get a little pissed about this. Especially if the Wings win another Cup and are basically going into next season with the same roster. It's almost bordering on unfair. I know I'd be pissed. Just random speculation. This wasn't intended to be a "What's wrong with Hossa?" thread.

He's on a learning curve like every other new player. Chicago plays a completely different style than Anaheim. Him and his coaches will do what it takes to make sure he's more prepared for game 2.

About every two weeks or so, someone comes here with that stupid song. It's old hat dude. And to be honest, not many people thought it was that funny the first dozen times. Furthermore... the band is weak. Maybe people who post this song should die...

Toews seems like a solid hockey player, captain and person. That being said... I hope someone sends his helmet flying at center ice. An extra bonus will be if he's spitting out chicklets as well.
