I doubt there are many things that Bowman could reveal about either team that they don't already know. Information is pretty fluid with technology these days. Both teams pretty much have the goods on eachother at this point. Ultimately, the players decide.

You respond as if you think that I think that crying is bad. It's not. Give me a full roster, from top to bottom, of guys that cry if they lose a series and I'll give you as many Stanley Cups as you want.

I'd have to believe that every last member of the Detroit Red Wings would do everything in their power short of murdering Sidney Crosby at center ice to ever prevent that from happening. Buy yea... that would suck. Both sides would have something to prove. That could be as epic as Pittsburgh/Washington.

The only thing I get from seeing tears from a player is an indicator of how much their heart was in it.

The players can show respect after a hard fought series... why can't you?
-
Crosby the goon!!!! Haha. There's obviously some misconceptions on what a goon is.
-
I don't see why so many people consider Getz a goon. He's not. He's a hard-nosed player that stands up for himself and the rest of his team mates.

Osgood cried like a baby when he lost to San Jose in 94. Just sayin'.

I will lose major respect for Chicago fans if

It's really strange to me that anybody, Hawks fan or not, would actually draw any joy out of the current economic situation. It's pretty pathetic when your self esteem as a hockey fan for your team is so low that you actually have to stoop to those levels. The Hawk fans that supported the spirit of that thread are weak. -
Josh has a valid point here.
-
Arguably the most playoff ready 8th seed in the history of the NHL. Ready enough to snub out the Sharks. It's just for fun. Lighten up.
-
Chicago has to play what got them here. If they try to adopt another teams defensive strategy on the fly they will be obliterated.
-
The Ducks are a very good defensive team built for the playoffs... and arguably, they are built to beat the Wings. They did what they had to do. Shut down Datsyuk, Hossa and Zetterberg offensively. Barring a couple hiccups, they did just that. This is why secondary scoring is so important.
-
You're either very young or very dumb. My money is on very young.
-
Of course the obligatory: I swear... Osgood is like the Keyser Soze of the NHL. "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist."
-
I say no. As ridiculous as that looks coming off my fingers. I love our team and I wouldn't want to sacrifice any of them to keep Hossa. It would feel like trading away one of your children.

Wow... difference makers. Obviously Helm is just playing out of his mind right now. He is greased lightning and knows how to finish. That kid is gonna be lethal. Ericsson just settles into the top 4 like he was born there. And Abdelkader, still wet behind the ears, makes a seamless transition into a ridiculously grueling series. Incredible, if you ask me.
-
Wings in a hard fought 6. I have a feeling this Hawks team is gonna take a few of you by suprise.
-
Agreed... Sorta. If anyone could crack us, it's Bowman. Quennville is still the coach. He would have to completely buy in to Bowmans coaching philosophy (well, at least certain aspects of it). Not sure his ego would allow it. Hard to say exactly how much of an impact the Bowman Factor will be. Hopefully none. I will say that it is kinda fishy that Bowman jumps over and BOOM, they are in the Conference Finals. They have legit talent and depth, a little Bowman influence could really speed up their development. At the very least, I would say that Chicago will turn some heads this series.
-
Who cares. Let them cry. They are history. We'll have a whole new batch real soon. Not only are the Ducks playing golf... so are their trolls.
-
When I think of how arrogant and cocky Osgood was when responding to pundints all season, it seems like he knew something that no one else did. He's a true Red Wing warrior through and through.
-
I'd pray that he plays for as long as possible. I was never an Osgood hater, but I was very concerned. He's proven without a shadow of a doubt, to me anyway, that he might the greatest playoff warrior that I have seen in net. Osgood is the guy I want training my future prospects. He has it all straight in the membrane and that's the best skill to have. In my opinion anyway.
