That save was the result of a brutal giveaway he coughed up... maybe not the best example.

Fail... Hossa wasn't brought here to make a difference. He came here to buy in, blend in and chip in. Has it ever occurred to you that the reason so many of our other guys are producing is because guys like Hossa and Datsyuk are drawing attention from the opponent... thus freeing up said "other guys". It's called a team concept... Mind blowing, I know. Why do you think teams that go deep into the playoffs almost always need production from (at the very least) two lines? Think before you type...
-
Then you are color blind... Even if that did look like blood, Hudler's head would have had to literally explode for there to be that much blood on his elbow. You're reaching. It was dripping from under his helmet, it didn't spray everyone in the vicinity.

There were a few times when the puck was dished off back to the point and the cameraman was clueless. He didn't know where the hell it went. Other than that, I've always like Vs. Anything is better than CBC...
-
I only watch Canadian broadcasts when there is ABSOLUTELY no other choice. Watching CBC is like Wayne's World or something. So cheesy and backward. I've seen better quality on public access cable.
-
I didn't think it was a dirty hit. I didn't think there was an intent to injure. Aggressive? Yes. But it's the playoffs and they are the Ducks. What else would you expect. Hudler should know that he needs to keep his head on a swivel. Especially against the Ducks. Having said that... there is a crackdown coming from the league concerning blows to the head. Players are responsible for their actions. No different than an accidental high stick, a blow to the head, intentional or not, is considered a penalty. Rightfully so, in my opinion. I do find it amusing that Duck fans come here and brag about the "goonery" of their team then act like a 5 minute penalty is the some sort of travesty. You reap what you sow Duck fans. Bend over and take it...

I'm pretty sure Hossa had two goals in the clincher against Columbus. This thread is dumb...
-
HAHAHA!!! KEEP TAKING PENALTIES f***STICKS!!!

Holy crap... I love Ericsson.
-
Man... that kinda sucks when those are the things that you're hangin your playoff hopes on.
-
My biggest fear is that we light up Hiller and Jiggy comes in to save the day...
-
This... This years team isn't even close to what the Ducks faced last time. Not to mention that we have effectively swapped Dallas Drake for Marian Hossa (sick) and Ericsson for Lilja. Not to say that Detroit will walk through this series, but if they are clicking on all cylinders... Pronger and Niedermayer will be returning each others jock straps on a regular basis. Datsyuk owns Niedermayer. Niedermayer isn't used to looking silly and Datsyuk seemingly does it to him at will. Niedermayer gets pissed because he just looked like an ass and does something stupid... rinse and repeat.

Pav's can play with anyone and make them a better player. From Kopecky to Zetterberg, Datsyuk makes them better. I see quite a bit of value in that...
-
Can't wait to see Pav's rip into the Ducks after this news...
-
Oh look... another loser referencing the struggling economy in Michigan. Seriously, you people are pathetic.
-
Brasher is a low life piece of garbage. I wish someone would cross check that low brow mouth breather right in the throat...
-
Fedorov deserves to have his number retired WAY before Shanahan... imo. Shanny brought intensity and hardcore grit for MAYBE two seasons. After that he was a glorified, cherry pickin' sniper.
-
Agreed... Imagine Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Crosby as your top 3 centers. Good game till they retire.

Dead on. [/thread]

This. I was thinking the same exact thing. In Detroit, Sid would flourish. Not that he's not doing well as is... but wearing a winged wheel would be nothing but good for him. He would have to go to boot camp or something before joining the team though. He would need to be broken down mentally and rebuilt. Kinda like what Bowman did to Stevie.

Bleh... I hate when there is enough time between rounds for stupid, meaningless topics to surface. The Wings just took a younger, 'tougher' opponent and pounded them into the ground in 4 games. There were Blue Jacket bodies smashed into the boards all over the place... one got knocked so silly that he couldn't even stand up and had to sit on the ice dazed and confused. But yea... lets shake up the lineup and add more grit. Stellar plan. KENNY... GET IT DONE!!!

Columbus Columnist: Osgood is Wings' Weak Link
Broken 16 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
I was stumbling around the Sharks section of the HF Boards... Sifting through all the Joe Thornton hatred when I stumbled across this little gem: Heh... Wow. Love it. -
The only thing weaker than The Wall, again... in my opinion, is The Final Cut. Which may as well have been a Roger Waters solo album. Aside from a few songs (Comfortably Numb, Goodbye Blue Skies... maybe Mother), The Wall is very weak compared to works such as Meddle, Wish You Were Here and Animals. I even prefer A Saucerful of Secrets and UmmaGumma over The Wall. Just because Rolling Stone says so... doesn't make it so. Like Electrophile said.
-
I saw that solo live. I think pieces of my face are still stuck on the back wall...
-
No offense... but The Wall is probably Pink Floyd's weakest creation. It is in my opinion anyway. On a brighter note, awesome win by the Wings. On a business trip to Minnesota and they don't get TSN here. Good for Ozzie. Like I said in a thread before the playoffs started... If Ozzie takes this team to the Finals, he should be inducted into the HOF the next day. Look up 'Playoff Warrior' in the dictionary and it's a picture of Osgood. I'm beyond impressed with what I've seen from him so far. Talk about a 180. Wow. Keep her goin boys...
