I still don't think the Flames have much hope for playoffs. Caps are playing pretty badly in this game.

MAYBE Abby plays a game or 2 if we're really getting beat up and need someone else for a bit of grit. Draper would probably sit in that situation, but its still doubtful. The 4th line has been clicking, there's NO WAY Miller gets replaced, especially with Maltby out. Williams pretty much sucks but he'll stay in (safe to say he won't be back next year?).

Howard gives up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many rebounds. There I said it. Can't say I totally agree with Babs there, but like others have stated, I don't think he put nearly as much stock in that comment than people are taking from it. Just praising his goalie is all.

I guess I'd want the Coyotes in round 1. No matchup will be ideal, but I think that one has the potential to be the safest. Then again, I would love to knock off one of the powerhouse teams in round 1.

Hes made some funny comments that you dont normally hear on NHL Live. Like about his 12 year old masturbation and and ***. He's a funny guy and a genuine hockey fan. I've been hearing about his impending hockey movie for a few years now, and I'm a little nervous, cause generally hockey movies don't portray the sport very accurately. Seems like hes really trying for a non-kevin-smith movie feel on this one though and going for something more. Tom Green was on a few weeks ago and they were trying to ask him hockey questions and he basically had to admit he only watches hockey if the senators are in the cup.

Glad to see Ericsson in, he needs to get it together by playoff time. I really wish Babs would play Osgood against Edmonton, I can't think of a better game to do it.

I don't wish injuries to any team or player, but I must admit I enjoy seeing the Hawks fans freaking out a little. As much as they've had an incredible season with an incredible team, so far they've managed to raise some question marks towards the end of this season. They are still an amazing team, but I'm glad that some of their steam has worn off. Campbell was already going to be very difficult to move, unless a team like Toronto took him. I'm not sure his injury will really change a whole lot, I think he will be in Chicago at the beginning of the season as expected. Those guys will have to shed their depth. I doubt the Wings will benefit from their clearing, but there's a few guys I wouldn't mind going after.

No such thing as a given game in this sport. Pretty sure we have already lost to all three of those teams this season. Edmonton even blew us out one game. We also were beat by the Islanders 6-0, lost to Carolina, Toronto, Dallas, etc. I remember those being games we should have had no problem winning. I hope the Wings employ a more dire mindset than assumptions and pushovers. Every game the rest of the season is as important as every other game. We are playing to make the playoffs, and even the teams that are ahead of us can theoretically be caught in the standings.

Not really sure anything the NHL makes any sense. I wouldn't mind the suspension if it actually meant some consistency in the rules, however, I know this wont be the case. Certain players/teams will still be allowed to do whatever they want with no repercussions. I don't see this hit as suspension worthy, but I understand that he has a shaky history of hits, and they are trying to prevent him from doing it again. I just think there needs to be consistency.

Wow. I was at the game today and saw a few replays. Didn't look good. Looked like he lost an edge at the wrong time, and Ovechkin never let up. Their defense hasn't been nearly as good lately and this could hurt them even more. Sure will be interesting.

This. He has never played a full season without being hurt. Assuming he finishes all the games this season, after 5 seasons he averages 63 games a season, 73 before this season. He is definitely capable of 40-50 goals, but the question is whether or not he can stay healthy for a full season.

Yeah I think they lost their chance with those colors. Lol at the Carolina Rosebud jerseys. The jerseys that get me are the third jerseys of the Lightning and the Senators. Just dark jerseys with BOLTS and SENS written across the front. Looks sooo tacky and embarrassing.
