Based on projected draft position, really seems like we'll pick up a top notch center whether we end up picking 1st or 5t+. Too many really good center options in this draft.

Love these GDTs, thanks to all of y'all who work on these. Would love a big win here tonight, tired of blowing away leads and giving away points to bad teams. While, Datsyuk hasn't looked like his prime self this season, I still think he's looked pretty good out there and is getting/generating tons of chances. I wanna see him finally break out this season in tonight's game. Here's a little look at what he can do in a single game against the Canucks (thankfully they won't be in those weird jerseys this time):

Surprised there's so many against him playing for the Wings. He most likely gets sent down when Helm/Datsyuk return, so I don't see why playing top line minutes with Zetterberg would hurt his development in any way whatsoever. If he shows he's not ready, he'll get sent down knowing exactly which areas he needs to improve in. And if he does well, then that's great.

Every time I see this thread, I think for a split second it just got bumped from 2 years ago.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but I'm actually kind of nervous for this. One good game from Tampa and then we have to play them again on the road and anything can happen. Hopefully we stick with the game plan and all the panic from Cooper proves to be too much for them to handle. Unfortunately I am going to miss most of this game, but will be following the GDT on my phone when I can. LGW!!!!!

So make our top 6 more effective by putting in Teemu, and make our bottom 6 more effective by putting Helm down there? That makes too much sense for a Babs' line combos.

Pretty brutal lines, but Boston has a few guys out as well. Can't say I have terribly high expectations tonight, but at the very least they need a MUCH better game than the pathetic effort the other night.

The Wings are in the driver's seat the next two games, they really need to prove they haven't completely slowed down. Hoping for a big win from Mrazek, some Datsyuk magic, and maybe a goal or two from Tatar.

I wish the Wings would just start blatantly interfering instead of the "subtle" stuff, just to see what Eddie's reaction would be.

If we had kept Fil and Hudler, its not a stretch to think one or both of Tatar and Nyquist would not be on the team today. Personally, I'd much rather the younger duo.

I think this is a very good move, and for a very little price. Seems like most of the contending teams in the east got a bit better, so I'm glad the Wings did too.

I hope this works out as a Dallas Drake type of move. Cole is still a pretty serviceable player and has looked good in the games I've watched him play. I'm not all that beat up about the guys we gave up, don't really see that they had a great chance to make the team next year.

Eddie O is just the worst. Never like seeing players get hurt, even ones I can't stand. That being said, now that he's out, I wish the Hawks nothing but losses from here on out. They've been unimpressive this year anyway, I definitely don't think they do much without Kane.
