Ugh. That was the worst.

Pretty sure Holland has stated he doesn't like messing with the rotation of the jerseys. With some other clubs its ridiculous, they have 4 or 5 jerseyes, most of them hideous. I love the WC logo, the Wings hat I wear every day has this logo, which is great because only the true hockey fans recognize it. Living in Chicago, I got a little tired of hearing DETROIT SUCKS every time I wore my other Wings hat. Luckily most Hawks fans in Chicago weren't fans until well after last year's WC so they have no idea what the red D stands for.

The obvious reason for a subpar season has been injuries. Jimmy Howard has actually been a nice surprise (much better than most people expected him to be, myself included). Rebuilding this team would be a horrendous idea, because it takes years to build a team from the ground up. As someone else said, we don't rebuild, we reload. Datsyuk and Zetterberg both dealt with injuries of some form or another this year, which has affected their play. While we would hope for them to be doing better, they are still great for us in all of the areas they need to be, with a drop in their scoring production. I'm not concerned about the Wings, they will continue to be a strong team for years to come. Plenty of decisions in the upcoming offseason without any need to rebuild the team from scratch.

I don't see Kenny making any moves other than shaving our current roster to fit under cap when players return.

I went to Nashville once. It was fun.

I love Mule and want him back ASAP, but I agree it seems to make more sense for him to just practice hard and work on his conditioning in those 2 weeks and not risk anything.

Someone could post pics of Kane with his sisters, probably the best looking girls hes ever been around. Seriously those girls are atrocious. Something about a girl wearing plaid flannel in a limousine just doesn't seem right. That compounded with the fact that all of the guys are shirtless/pantless while all of the girls are fully clothed... One of the girls is dressed like Al Borland from Home Improvement... and the girl in the last picture seems to be wearing the outfit of an 1800's french butler.

How about the Wings just switch back to a normal goalie rotation? While I hate the way Ozzie handled his frustration by going to the press, his comments are kinda true about it being an ineffective way to keep the goalies going.

One or both of Lebda/Meech simply has to go. Like a few others have said, I'd rather keep Meech... but if Lilja is definately back I wouldn't care if they both get sent out. I love May but I think he is the obvious choice to go, and Abby will get sent down. I think the wings will keep Leino for another year and then see where he is at. Not sure where this puts us cap wise... If we shed Lebda, Meech, May, and send Abby down... we would be close to fitting under cap, but might need to shed one more player.

Lol at him getting run at by Mule... I think its great that he's this close... but I can't help but cringe a little when our two best injured players are taking runs at each other before they are 100% healthy. Great news though!

That's pretty cool to have all that authentic gear! My rollerblades and plastic streethockey stick don't really compare.

I can't remember the company or what the commercials were about, but in the mid to late 90s there were some HILARIOUS beer commercials that had to do with hockey... maybe Molson or LaBatt. I can't really remember specifics, but remember loving them.

I agree with this. The extra couple of weeks is huge for healing, he can still workout and practice and all that like usual, but I'd feel just a little bit safer with him out of the lineup for those 2 games. I think it depends on how well the Wings can do in this stretch. If they get the wins that they need, I think babs will sit Franzen (also for cap reasons?), but if they're still in this funk and really need the wins than maybe he'll play. Either way.... this is all great news!
