Scary thing is they could afford it. LGW would implode. If I'm Nashville, I'm making it my priority to give Weber and Suter ANYTHING they want. Nashville can afford to match what even the most desperate teams would pay for them. I'll be curious to see what they do with Radulov though. Given the limited amount of NHL time he's had, I can't really predict the range that his salary will be in.

Unfortunately, that isn't really true. Nashville has a TON of cap space. While they have more players to sign than the Wings, they definitely have the cap to make it work. Right now they have 32 million in cap space for next season. They could sign Suter, Weber, AND Radulov to significant contracts and STILL have around 10-12 million in cap space to work with.

No grade for Eaves who played 10 games, but grades for Brunnstrom (5 games) and Conner (8 games)? Agree with some of your list though, don't feel like making one just now.

I disagree with much of the bolded, especially the tough to play against part. While at one time in their careers that was true of both players, I think that teams have found out that if you take away the middle of the ice, these guys will be reluctant to go there. Teams will let Bertuzzi skate along the boards and around the net with one hand on his stick all day long. Like others, I'm not wild about the Bertuzzi re-signing. Parise would give the Wings an incredible amount of possibility and potential production on the top line, especially if Franzen can transition into somewhat of the Holmstrom mold of crease front goal scorer.

Got half way through, didn't laugh once. It IS possible to make fun of the Wings and be hilarious about it, I've seen it done, but unfortunately the authors of this gem failed quite miserably. Better luck next time, I guess.

Smith's hit on Patrick Kane, please. Datsyuk's goal against Boston, and also his shootout goal. Fil splitting the D (I think against LA) and Z burying the goal. Bertuzzi fighting Weber. Datsyuk's amazing backhand goal against St. Louis. Nyquist's first goal, or even all the ridiculous passing goals in that CBJ game. Not sure if you're trying to keep it just hockey plays, but the Wings did a couple pretty good remembrances for those in KHL plane crash.
