Nash for: Big E, Hudler, Emmerton, Miller, Eaves, Brunnstrom, Conklin.... Did I miss anyone?
-
I don't see anything at all about this to indicate he did it on purpose. Their reactions afterwards pretty clearly show they were both surprised. I read somewhere an interview with both guys and they both said it was completely accidental. People making a big issue over nothing.

Henrik should win it, he is definitely one of the best in the league and finally has a worthy team in front of him and a solid backup. I hope Howard gets a nomination, that alone would be a major accomplishment for someone who only been in the league for a couple of years, and has shown improvement in various areas every season he has played. Edit: I know playoffs have nothing to do with the Vezina, but I am very curious to see how Henrik performs in the post-season with this team.

Really looking forward to this one. I say this every time but playing 60 minutes is very important for this one. It was really nice scoring the first goal of the game for once in Calgary.
-
Personally don't think Shanny or Fed will ever be retired here. I remember a couple years ago there were seriously people saying that 33 and 18 could be retired. Lidstrom will obviously be up there. I don't think Datsyuk will but he has a lot of hockey left.
-
The site was down for nearly half the game.
-
Ah the own goal would have been priceless.
-
MILLER! Great play by Cleary and Helm. This line has been great tonight.
-
What a play by Fil. Unreal.
-
Time to step it up, boys. This is such a winnable game, they need to start playing like they want it.
-
LMAO Mursak really making an impression. He'll remember that one.
-
That has to be in??! Come on!
-
Helm is playing really well tonight so far.
-
Double fight!
-
Agreed. That was awesome. I only have the flames feed here, but they did an excellent job with the presentation, I hope they showed it on FSD as well. Nice to see Emmerton shut up the naysayers (like me). I like seeing the 4th line chip in on points.

After the way he played last game, Kindl does not deserve a chance above Commodore, who at least has played solid in the chances he's gotten. 6th defensemen spot usually comes down to whichever guy is making the fewer mistakes. I like Kindl, but commodore has been better lately. Sometimes a player needs to be benched in order to improve as well. Glad to see Mursak get a chance in this game. Seriously time to get the road record back on track. LGW!

Nice! He didn't just give you his best... he gave you ALL of it!!!

Gleason Signs Extension with Hurricanes
hooon replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
I know Hawks fans wanted him, glad he won't go to them. -
Agreed. While I did enjoy the actual game today, the overall production value of the whole event (and also the NHL Awards in the summer) is just so poorly executed that it just makes the NHL look so bush league. It makes me seriously wonder not only who is doing the marketing, but who on earth are they trying to market this TO? Like other poster mentioned, my biggest problem was not having the most skilled players actually compete in the skills competition. I know I'm a Wings fan, so obviously I want Datsyuk in every event, but the overall format is anything but a "skills competition". There is no rhyme or reason to any of it, and the majority of the players basically spend 3 hours sitting on one knee smiling politely. Ah well, the game was fun though. Pavel and Jimmy both played well, but neither of them looks good in any color other than red.
-
If anyone could possibly youtube that play where Pavs caught the puck on his stick out of mid-air. I don't think they showed a replay, but it was insane.
-
Awesome. Great answer to the last question.
-
I guess I'm more reading between the lines. To come out publicly and announce he has no intentions to sign before the deadline is pretty close to saying he will test the market on July 1st I worry too that other teams will offer way more for him, than the wings. I think 6-6.5 would be a fair offer from us.
-
Based on his comments, it sure doesn't sound like he will be signing in Nashville period. Intriguing. What to people think he will be worth on the open market come July 1.
-
I don't know how they chose who goes for each event. No Datsyuk for the shootout? No Gaborik for fastest skater?
-
Morrison adds almost nothing to their team. If this is the Hawks big deadline move they've been waiting for, color me unimpressed. This seems exactly like the type of player the Hawks DON'T need. They spent their offseason acquiring aging over-the-hill players who are well past their primes in Brunette, Mayers, Montador, O'Donnell, and now they sign an undersized 36 year old with serious injury problems.
