Yeah to be honest I still have a hard time seeing how that goal was even physically possible at that angle. Every indication I can see from the replay tells me it should have hit the goalie, and yet it finds the perfect spot.

Yzerman was 36 or 37 when he had this knee operation, and it was one of several he had over his career as well as back injuries and other problems. I hardly think that's comparable to Parise's current situation.

Missed the game but saw the highlights, and there were some pretty goals by the Wings. Looked like Ericsson was asleep on the goal against, though Helm didn't help him out. Big E is so frustrating. I want to like him and I want him to do well, but he just looks so terrible every time I see him. Glad that Stuart got the third star, good for him. The Eaves thing is brutal, yikes. Get better, Patty.

Great win! Glad to see Z have such a good game. Ericsson looked terrible again tonight. Smith has played well. I hope when White is back big E gets some games off, I'd rather have Smith in, personally.
