Crazy how natural that looks on him. Ericsson-Lebda... scariest D-pairing in the league. (For the Leaf's goalie.)
-
My initial reaction is happiness, as I have called for this many times. However, I'm more curious to see who will replace him.
-
Anyone want to make one of Ericsson in a leaf's jersey?
-
Lol. Ben Eager is a pretty huge idiot.

So... that makes Hudler like a #230492340985648934585672161549303048488847626348273475784329823472 on the offensive depth chart? Sorry, I keed, I keed.

Very cool pictures.

Great vids, love seeing Vladdy roof that breakaway goal and get the water bottle.
-
So let me get this straight.... losing by one goal in game 7 against the Sharks was Holmstrom's fault now? I think you better start another thread on this, just to clarify.
-
Ugh. So typical. BTW This year's Winter Classic SUCKED. 24/7 was cool but the actual game was boring as hell other than the Malkin goal.

VAN/SJS: 4-2 BOS/TBL: 4-3

Dude I literally had a dream within a dream last night where I was dreaming about dreaming about waiting for the game to start... What? LGW!!!!

This. So happy and grateful that the Wings have even pushed it this far. It's not about winning 4 in a row anymore, its just a one game series. I have very high hopes, but whatever happens, happens. Great job so far Wings for pushing it this long and putting forth the effort in the last few games. One more now!

Isn't one of his legs also noticeably shorter than the other?
-
Lol... the forum is called LetsGoWings... Are you really so inept that you can't figure out why there would be Wings fans on a Wings board?

Those Who Were at the Game --- Have You Ever Heard a Crowd So Loud?
hooon replied to a topic in General
Incredible game, even on TV. At times the announcers could not even conduct their interviews it was so loud. Great job to all you fans where were there and did your part! I must admit to getting PRETTY pissed after the Cleary breakaway, because Emerick shouted SCOOOOORES, and I started cheering like a maniac, only to glance back at the TV and see they were still playing. Turned out OK though. In a weird way, Cleary missing that breakaway just strengthened his and the team's resolve. He was a beast all game, exactly what we need out of him. Amazing game, I could barely sleep last night. -
No actually, I read the actual interview where his exact words were "The injury had absolutely nothing to do with the Kronwall hit" So I actually DO understand how interviews go, thanks.
-
I'm nervous too... but then I realized this is why I love hockey! These nerve-wracking season deciding games are what its all about. GO WINGS! Give it everything tonight!
-
Agreed. He goes out of his way to say it wasn't the Kronwall hit (after they lied about flu symptoms and had to later admit it was upper body) but doesn't point out when in the game it actually DID occur? lol.
-
But like I said... he isn't underperforming at all... he is their leading scorer. This is the playoffs, you simply do NOT bench your leading scorer for taking one or two penalties.
-
Finishing a game when hurt is not the least bit surprising. Seabrook did it this year, Crosby, Mule, the list goes on and on. Perfectly normal to battle through the rest of the game and then when you take the pads off discover something isn't right. No flu here, he's suffering from a Kroncussion.
-
Looks like Clowe will be missing tonight's game due to a Kroncussion.
-
I kinda highly doubt they would simply bench their leading scorer in a pivotal playoff game on the road. He is out because of the Kronwall hit, plain and simple. "Flu like symptoms"
-
Of course I never wish injuries upon anyone, even hated rivals... But I can think of few other instances where someone DESERVED this more than Clowe. He instigates a fight in the last seconds of game 4, takes several cheap sucker punches at Abby while the linesman holds Abby in place. THEN he has the stupidity to come out and say "I wish it was against Kronwall". Looks like you got more than you bargained for.
-
Please no more Ericsson. He hasn't shown any improvement in so long, makes huge gamechanging mistakes every night, doesn't utilize his size or his shot. If we are going to have a whipping-boy Dman that constantly disappoints, we might as well have one that plays for league minimum or close to it, or even a guy that can fight. I had high hopes for Big E, but so far he has proven himself no more functional than any other big Dman plug in the NHL, last night's HUGE goal aside.
-
That is a work of art right there. Kronwall has been great this playoffs. A few thundering Kronwallian hits this series, a couple against Phoenix, chipping in on the scoring. It'd be awesome if our other huge Swedish dman could do anything even remotely similar to this. (Not talking about Lidstrom either )
