Surprise, surprise. One bad game and here they come.

I forget what the injury was specifically, but even after he came back it took him months to return to form. Granted this was a few years ago when he was still new, but after that injury he played like he was scared s***less. Everytime he got the puck on his stick he looked to dish it immediately, never fought for the puck, never battled. We'll see if its different this time when he comes back.

Couldn't agree more, but at least the refs got it right and called a penalty on the retaliation. Wings came out and were playing some best hockey of the season in the 1st, it looked like complete control. To me, the game-changing moment came when Fil's would-be second goal was blown dead by a quick whistle. After that the Wings seemed to crumble, it was embarrassing. I had to turn it off after the 5th goal. Just seems like once they got off their gameplan they couldn't ever get back on it.

The winged wheel is the greatest logo in sports (Blackhawks is pretty sweet as well). I'm glad we don't have a 3rd jersey, the winged wheel is too classy to change.

We aren't going to get anything decent for Hudler until he starts producing like he should... and if he DOES start producing like he should, I'd just as soon keep him. Hudler is Ville Leinoing us right now.

Sounds pretty awful.

This is true. When I was in high school my dad got a job 1000 miles away and would fly back sometimes on the weekends to see us. It was tough on everyone (him the most) but he did it for us, as opposed to taking me and my brother out of school and sports, he waited until I graduated before we all moved. I expect its the same thing in sports, especially for guys with short contracts or towards the end of their careers. I feel bad for Salei, must be tough on him, but he wanted to play hockey and I'm sure they discussed it as a family and this is the decision they made.

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry is a scary good line. Looking forward to seeing Z and D shut them down. No doubt the Wings are the better team, I hope to see a strong 60 minute effort and for our bigger guys to not let them push us around. Great GDT, as always.

TB has been up and down all season. I'd like to see them establish some positive consistency.

Not surprised about the Bert hate, most people have no knowledge of what actually happened in that incident and overreact. I forgave Bert before he ever came to the Wings. He made a bad decision with unfortunate and flukey results, and he paid big time for it.

Maybe he's being hugged BECAUSE of the Red Wings shirt.

Thanks Fin!

LMAO that has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen. What has our sport come to? That looks like a cigarette in a wheelchair. And for them to make fun of Detroit as a city is just ridiculous... Columbus isn't exactly a utopia itself.

Interesting that he says Jammer is the toughest to play against. For those of you complaining about the Mule... give me a break, the guy is on pace for over 40 goals this season.

You guys are nuts. Clearly ACCORDING TO THE RULE BOOK, that was the wrong call. You are all whining and calling foul ONLY because its Pronger and you all hate him. Don't let your biases cloud the fact that what he did was clearly within the rules 100%. I'm pretty sure he was the one to tip the pass too, its not like he was just gooning it up like Avery. Seems like you are all whining without actually having seen the video. His hand is up for less than 1 second, nothing even remotely similar to what Avery did. Just because you hate Pronger doesn't make it the right call.

I'd love the Perfect Human to get another Norris. Liles has been doing well, but I agree, he's gonna slow down. I haven't seen too many Bruins games this season, but personally, I have always thought that Chara is pretty overrated as a defensemen. He has a cannon shot, good pass, and is enormous, but he's also slow and prone to defensive blunders. I can't think of anyone who has been better than Nick so far.

If a guy isn't good enough to crack the lineup, why would a team keep him just for being a hometown boy? lol With this logic you might as well just dress ANYONE from NC who has ever played hockey. And the wings should trade for an all Michigan team. Ryan Miller anyone?
-
Lol that Toews and Kane are even on there at all. All Star game always has been, and continues to be, a joke.

There are a few teams that I "hate", but I want to clarify that I believe it to be a "good hatred". Hearkening back to the Wings-Aves rivalry of my youth, I find that having enemies and rivalries in the league simply makes the game more exciting and fun to be a part of. Living in Chicago, and having to face Hawks "fans" daily, I can definitely say they have climbed to the top of the list of my most hated teams. After them, the Pens, the Ducks, Sharks, and most recently the Flames for their incessant whining about not being as good as the team that beats them. Again, I love NHL rivalries, so LONG LIVE THE HATE!

Watch at exactly the 35 second mark, Howie gives Hudler a nice face wash with the catcher's mitt.
-
It is taking quite a long time, lol. Very nice presentation they did for Pat Burns though.
-
Bruins Kings, Philly Washington, and Chicago Vancouver will be the games I'll try to watch if I'm around.
