Yeah I'm with you. The Sedins vs. Euros is a way better matchup. I would pay money to see that. How about any two Staals against them? Or a preseason matchup of Kronwalls vs Filppulas Back on topic, I think if they played a series it would go to 7. The thing is though, with 2 on 2, it might just come down to whoever has the best shot. There's a lot of room and its not hard to get shots off, so of the 4, who has the best wrister?

Good rundown of the leagues. Sometimes it gets a little confusing as to which is which. One of the things that has kept me from becoming a regular soccer fan is that understanding the different leagues is more complicated than a Kovalchuck contract negotiation. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Eh Zetterberg jerseys are a dime a dozen. Even though those other guys will be retired in 5 years, they will still all be memorable iconic Red Wings figures for a long time to come. I like the idea of getting a jersey of one of our more unsung heroes.

I have a 16 year old dog named Ozzie (after Osgood in his rookie season) and he's still going strong! I have a theory that my dog's life-span is directly tied to Osgood's career. Never retire Ozzie! The only team in the NHL I can think of who is actually hurting bad enough at the goalie position to need the likes of Huet, IS in fact the Hawks. Funny how that works out.

At least in 09 we got some revenge on Anaheim in a hard fought series. Right now the Pens series stings more, and it will continue to sting until we meet them again in the finals and beat them as we should have in 09. I never thought I would stop hating the Aves, but alas, I really have no dislike for them anymore. That rivalry was the best when it was going, but since all the players are gone from the Aves, and most are gone from Detroit, its just not the same. Even when we faced them in 08, I didn't feel any particular animosity towards them. Right now, the Hawks are my least favorite team.

Babcock owns Quenneville. Two years in a row Coach Q lost to Babs in the playoffs. Game 4 of the 09 playoffs against the Hawks shows what happens when these two coaches face eachother.

In high school I tried out for the baseball team and ended up becoming the lacrosse goalie. Not sure how that one worked out.

Yeah that always pissed me off about that call. Considering the size difference between Ozzie and Roy, I thought Oz did pretty damn well. He took some punches admirably (not nearly as many as the announcer suggested) and didn't cower or turtle. He got in a few good shots of his own, and then got the takedown. Good video, what a great rivalry. I'm really tempted to watch the fightnight at the Joe game. I have it as part of a DVD collection I bought a while back. The entire game is just incredible, one of the most entertaining games I have ever seen.

Still surprised that no one has gone after him. Is he unwilling to take a pay cut for another team? His asking price for us was too high, but he's still a valuable Dman, I would have thought someone would have taken a chance on him by now. I love Lils, but unless its a two-way contract, I just don't see how he fits in with us.
