Id be kinda shocked if he didn't get 45. Now that Modano will be his center instead of Helm, more offense should be expected. I think he'll probably be on the 2nd line before too long.

This. He had several goals in the few games leading up to the Laraque hit. At that time he was the best D-Man on our team, and was skating and shooting as well as I've seen. Shame he went out when he did. Hopefully he gets going this season and gets back to that form.

Obviously if we could just lose Meech, that would be ideal. I dont think that will be enough. I've really always thought of Eaves and Miller as more or less interchangeable. Of the two, I prefer Eaves. But if either one leaves I'm not gonna be crushed. I really don't want to lose Ritola. I don't like how we would give away unproven prospects just to retain a cheap 4th liner.

Disagree with quite a lot. I agree with whomever said goalies shouldn't be on this list. At a glance: Players ranked too low: Zetterberg at 22 Kovalchuk at 19 Mike Richards at 23 Marlaeu at 42??? What? Chara at 37 Nash at 36 Cammelleri at 49 Getzlaf at 29 Players ranked too high: Toews at 5 Kane at 12, not yet Kane St. Louis at 13, are you kidding me? Pronger, obv not better than Lidstrom There's more but most of it goes without saying.

No one is saying he'll be a superstar. But at league minimum he is a good signing for a team whose bottom 6 is otherwise full of rookies and Kopecky.

Agreed. Hate to admit anything good about the Hawks, but this was a really smart move. I didn't even known Pisani was available. As mentioned, for 500k its a great signing based on his potential, and if he is hurt or sucks they can get rid of him easily enough. Also its one last roster spot that would need to be filled by a rookie. Good move, but we still own the central.

That Aves-Wings rivalry was awesome. Two equally-talented teams who nearly always faced each other in the playoffs. Good times.

But... but... Bickell is kind of big, therefore he is a perfect replacement for Byfuglien, and will have a Calder season. Jake Dowell and Versteeg have the same number of syllables in their last names, thus we can assume that Dowell is an adequate replacement as well. And Skille? Come on, that just SOUNDS awesome, I'm sure he'll be fine!! The more important thing is that the Hawks have incredible goaltending to fall back on

I still think the Sharks were fools to let Evgeni go. Despite the Cup, I feel like Niemi is still a big question mark in terms of his actual ability. He won't be cheap either.

Its definitely still possible. Last year he had a slow start offensively, but by the end of the season he was worthy of Norris candidacy imo.

And all I'm asking is... How is this at all relevant in any way whatsoever to the already mostly irrelevant thread? Its like you chose the two most unrelated hockey videos in history, somehow tried to compare the two, then asked a completely random and unrelated hypothetical question about something that hasn't even happened, and then ask our opinion on how we would feel about it. See I'm still not getting it when you say "did the same thing"... What did Yzerman do exactly that was so bad in this vid? He didn't do anything wrong that I saw, therefore I'm completely missing your point. This isn't a bias towards the Wings at all. Yzerman got his head rammed into the boards by a dirty elbow, how is he at all at fault here? What did he "do" exactly that is so bad in your eyes? -

Yeah still not seeing the comparison at all. How would we have reacted if Crosby got a cheap elbow to the head? Or are you asking something else. How is Yzerman being a whiney punk here? Seems like you're implying Yzerman is the one at fault in your vid, or that he instigated everything... maybe i missed something.
