They just need to start calling them. They have the penalty, its in the rule books, but they don't call them. I don't think anything needs to change with the rules, just send a memo out to refs and GMs saying they will crack down on it. Ideally they call a lot of them early in the season and the players stop doing it.

Hate diving, but I think there are other more pressing issues that should be dealt with first. Diving is a part of the game, thankfully not nearly as much as it is in soccer, but I think it will always be there. Its a technique to draw a penalty, and oftentimes it works. I doubt they will change the rules on it, but I really wish they would enforce it. My biggest issue with diving penalties is that it seems like whenever a dive is called on a player, another penalty is called on the other team that cancels it out. This has never made any sense to me. If the player was diving, then a penalty wasn't committed against him. Or if it WAS a real penalty, than the other player obviously wasn't diving. Boggles my mind that this is how its done.

He did well last year on both squads, but I agree, that seems a little steep. I guess they really wanted to keep him. He is also pretty young though, and hasn't yet realized his potential.

Well, if Nabby is gone, the Sharks are in the market. I thought they'd go after Niemi. Either way, Nabby is far better than either Niemi or Thomas. Lots of interesting stuff, can't wait til July 1 when things really get interesting.

I disagree with everyone bashing Byfuglien. He puts up pretty decent points during the season, and for a lot his career was only on the 3rd line. He is surprisingly quick for his size, and has decent hands. He might be slightly overpriced, but who on the Hawks isn't? I think his lost will hurt the Hawks quite a bit, he filled an important role. I'm looking to see Versteeg on the way out as well.

No specific order... Mac, Zenon, Winchester, Asham.

He was by far the most deserving this year. Sure, he didn't score as many points as normal, but think about the constantly changing linemates he played with. There was literally no consistent 1st line all season. Personally, I forgive any point total from any of our players last season. If you look at his takeaways and point production after the Olympic break, he went beyond what he's done in year's past.
