I hate numbers so I wont even try. I like most of those lineups. People have given me crap for saying so, but I am really pleased with the makeup of our lineup for next season. I know a lot of people are saying we are last year's team plus Hudler, but I disagree. The 4th line signing will be huge, and I really hope we don't make Miller an offer, it'd be such a waste. Having a real tough guy on the team will be a huge confidence boost. I also still want to retain Lilja, but it seems like that possibility is dwindling. I like Konopka and Winchester. Guys that can chip in some points now and then.

He doesn't need to do it more than once. He did it, and I disrespect him for it, an opinion which I am entitled to. If he wants to fight, turn around and fight like a man... instead he blindly elbows a 4 time Lady Bing winnder. Coward.

Yeah I wont miss him. I'll never forget that turnaround elbow to Datsyuk's face in the playoffs a few years ago during the scrum at the end of the game.

Wings have no shortage of leadership in the locker room. In fact, as far as leadership goes, we probably have more than any other team in the league. Some of them are vocal, some lead by example. I would love another Yzerman, but we all know its kind of impossible. For one, I don't see us getting any top 5 overall picks any time soon (I hope), and also, I think we got pretty lucky with Yzerman, having him turn out the way he did. I think Z will make for a great captain, and will lead very similarly to how Lids did.

Yay Dino! I think he's earned it, even if he isn't the typical HOFer. Most pundits were saying he didn't have much of a chance.

Seems like everyone there just based their answer off of who had more points. Everyone knows Yzerman took a step back in his point production in order to become a solid player defensively, I cannot say the same for Sakic. I also think those results might be skewed simply based on the fact that other than Wings fans, most other NHL fans seem to dislike the Wings for one reason or another, while the Aves never really received the universal jealousy/hatred. Sakic is great, so is Yzerman, and their strengths and skill sets are completely different. Its true I'm biased as well, but I'd choose Yzerman all day long.

If the Wings are in town, I'll be at the game. Hmm, maybe I'll show up late for this one. As much as I HATE the Hawks... I do love a good rivalry. The Wings-Aves rivalry a yore produced some of the best games of my life. I don't mind a little extra fuel on the fire, all part of the process of a great rivalry.

Agree with others about the likelihood being slim, but I'd love to have him. I love Lils but this guy is way better, as he could chip in a lot of offense. If he played a full 82 games he could probably be good for 20-25 points, which I'd take any day from a 3rd line pairing. He's a big guy, hits hard, and protects his own players. A few questions. Who did he play with in Boston? Did he play on the PK at all? Could he fit on our PK?

Kind of seems to be the way its heading. I wish they would have slightly smaller leg pads and also smaller gloves. The size of the NHL goalie gloves these days is absurd.

This is true. Mule used to be a Holmstrom style presence but in the past several seasons has really developed his hands and his ability to finish. The main thing I was looking forward to last season was seeing a healthy Mule play a full season. Hopefully this is the year. I think he is easily good for 40 goals and 75 points.

Wow surprising, Arnott was a huge part of the Preds. While this SHOULD make things easier in the central next year, I'm kinda disappointed... I always liked that the Preds were this tough team that nobody ever talked about, a team that's always under the radar but always in the mix. Really curious to see where Kovy goes now.

Glad he and his son are alright, hopefully no injuries or re-injuries as a result but seems they are alright. Briere is a playoff beast.

Well,this is really a line thread in shaky disguise. Cleary has a NTC. I like those lines, I'd switch Bert and Hudler. I also don't think we should sign Miller. He is brings the same thing as Eaves and others, I'd rather spend that money on a really physical 4th liner. Either way, I'm pretty happy with how our team is looking next year. Lets just stay healthy.

He was barely a starter last season and had SOME good playoff games. He also had some reeeaally bad ones including multiple 5GA games. Nabakov is easily the better the goalie of the two. While I think it might be true that Niemi gets better offers than Chicago, I really doubt a team with one of the best goalies in the league is going sell the farm to get a flavor of the month.

I still say the hit on Booth is dirty.
