He's definitely one of the more dangerous players on the ice in the Canucks series. As noted above, the Hudler situation is what ultimately hurt us. Had we known early that Hudler was leaving, I'm sure they would have signed Sammy right away. In any case, there was no way to predict that he would have a season like this. No one saw that coming. I think the Olympics snub had something to do with his extra drive.

Miller slacked during the second half of the season, had some really bad games and stretches and the Sabers were barely a .500 team since the end of Jan. He still deserves the nod, but I don't think he should win it. Brodeur had great numbers and played a ton of games as usual, and didn't get nearly the hype that he normally gets for his play. When you look at everything Bryz has done this season it seems to me that he deserves it. Not sure he'll get it, but that's who I'd choose.

I kinda doubt any of the games will be televised. I've been hearing about a justin.tv app for the iPhone where you can watch games streaming right on your phone. I don't know much about it, dunno if it'll work internationally. My brother was in Barcelona for the fall semester and he caught most of the Wings games online. Also, keep in mind the time difference. Barcelona is (I think) something like 6 hours ahead of EST. As far as a bar somewhere that gets games, I'm sure there much be SOMETHING, but as to where you can find it... I can't help you.

High scoring or not, all of these matchups have been really top notch. Granted its still quite early in round 1, but I can't remember a year in the past few years where every single matchup was played with such tenacity and energy. The teams are matching up well against eachother, it will be quite interesting to see how it all plays out.

I like goals. Every series has been pretty interesting and entertaining so far. That's all I ask for.

This is a must win as far as I'm concerned. I was really impressed with the Yotes in game 1. I was expecting a tough and disciplined team, but their speed and strength caught all of us a little off guard. They deserved to win game 1. We need game 2 Wings. LETS GO!

Terrible game changing non-call, but doesn't surprise me one bit. A few things I don't understand: Why was the play whistled dead? The wings has just carried the puck into the zone with numbers and the play is whistled dead but there is no penalty? I thought this was one of the instances where the refs could come together with the linesmen and make a call after the fact. I'm 90% sure I've seen the same play happen, where a high-stick was missed, and after the whistle the refs gathered to get it right. Last night they gathered, yet STILL didn't make a call. Does that mean that all 4 refs and linesmen thought it was Filpulla's stick? Nothing we can do about it now, but it pissed me off.
