was so glad when we re-acquired him from Florida a season or 2 before the '02 run, he was a bit of an unsung hero until game 3 against the 'Canes crazy to think that a legend like him was our 3rd line center -

If you told me we'd be 5-0 in shootouts at this point in the season, I sure wouldn't have thought we'd be terrible at pretty much everything else but hey, gotta take what we can get with this team like chaps80 said, if they play hard consistently they should get better results, don't know if it'll be enough to make the playoffs, but it would be nice to at least see 'em go down swinging -

on the Kings feed, they just showed Thorne's call of the Yzerman double OT goal from '96 god do I miss those days....

the only nice thing so far tonight is listening to Gary Thorne on the Kings feed wish he would do more hockey, esp. the national broadcasts

Another reason may be, if I'm not mistaken, is Gary Thorne will be making the call for the Kings on Thursday. I still miss that guy, wish he was getting the national broadcasts instead of Emerick. Plus it may give some of us fond memories of when he called Wings games back in the day when they were actually good (esp. the ESPN games vs. the Avs)
