If justin plays the way he did in GR for Detroit.. Then Justin without a doubt.
-
I wouldn't mind any of them. Ouly has the Matt Ellis esque about him, that i love. Hardworking players just do it for me. Then Mcgrath i feel like he deserves his chance. Newburry, i wouldn't mind seeing him get some time with the wings, but i feel like we've invested alot more time into Ryan and Evan, where they deserve a shot before Kris and Jeremy. But thats just me. I wouldn't mind seeing Jamie Tardif get a game or two also. I mean we could use a pressense of his on the ice. I think Newbury would be better at it. But i just like the story behind Tardif. And the fact that Detroit took a risk on him. Personal preffernce, But i'll take any toughness upgrade i can get at this point on the wings. UMMMM. realisticly.. It's Meech, Meech and Meech. Saldy enough. But I'd like to see Tardy and Oully get there shots.

I want Mike Comrie, Obviously it wouldn't adderess our need for sand paper. But with Comrie and Eaves signed, that would bring us some skill. It's not like either are overly soft either, they'll stick up for themselves if need be.

Not reading through 9 pages.. But i'll give my 0.02$ I am rather stoked about this signing, The kid has skill that is for sure, He is also very young at 25. He's got some grit to him. Not a bruiser by any means but he will throw a hit and take a hit. I can see him and Leino fighting for 2nd line minutes. Overall I am pleased with this signing as long as Abdelkader still gets a solid look for an NHL job, and we look at bringing in a chippy 4th liner.

I want to believe that there is an outside chance that Detroit brings in Roy, The closer we get to TC and Roy is unsigned, The possibility of him being brought in on a try-out looms. I am stoked. If Colton Orr/Donald Brashear were my 1/2 and Roy was my #3. Also, I am on the Tuzzi wagon now too, Just because he's a big body, and he's got skill. and he'll add 1-2 fights to the FM list. My wish list currently - Mike Comrie - Andre Roy - Todd Bertuzzi - RYAN HOLLWEG I cant help but imagine how fun a line of Helm, Hollweg and Roy would be. I just love the thoughts of having a line you have to be scared of when they hit the ice. Because they'll just run you through.

NHL'S Top 10 most likely breakout players
xBrave_Heartx replied to tommingthepuck96's topic in General
He'll be back on the top 2 scoring lines, and he'll be mature enough to handle the minutes unlike two years ago. I think he has to breakout. -
Why would i support a team that doesn't support the style of play i prefer? Just doesn't make sense. I bled Red and White my whole life. Just so happens I am fed up with seeing a team with no back bone. I could care less about winning if it means doing it methodical and boring, or supporting my home town team just to stick to my roots, It's not like I am jumping off a bandwagon because the team isn't successful. It's because they just don't meet my needs as a hockey fan. I want to win just as much as the next person. But i love fighting, hitting and chirping. Something that rarely happens during red wings games. Within the past 2 seasons i have been to 8 Wings games. It's not like I wasn't dedicated to the team, But i just dont get what i want out of the wings.

i WILL become a full time flyers fan if this happens.

If he takes like 1-1.5m? yah i'd take my chance on him. Im still waiting on a legit scrapper though.
-
Oualy has a legit chance of making the team

That neil hit was a beast. Why wasnt the Doug Weight hit in there? rather soft hits, expecially for being a top 10 for the season.

Winter Classic, They picked a great game for the winter classic. Bruins/Flyers, should be a physical physical game. Any Flyers Game Any Wings Game

Seriously. hahahahahah. OH GOD, HAHAHAHAHA Got to love July.

2-Way contract plz. I mean he would add a grittyness, he likes to run around, sadly he cant stay healthy. Put him on a 2-way call it good, If he cant seem to find his groove in Detroit, then i'am sure he can teach the kids something down in GR. He's on the last leg of his career as is. I think he'd LOVE to play in Detroit and even come close to winning a cup.

That hasn't been said at all!!! hahahaha Seriously though, I wouldn't mind Moen and Nichol, Or Moen and McGrattan, Or Moen and Roy, Or Moen and Grattan, Or Moen and Kosto, Or Moen and Hinote hahaha I just want Moen and another gritty compliment.

then you are ' --- Sorry, It's all in good fun. I dont have a problem with you. Leafs are the most improved team when it comes to toughness and Honestly, the Flyers next year, if they can have Cote, Carcillo, Asham and Lappy in the line-up, that is stout. I just wish there backend had mroe toughness, Hatcher and Smith was a really nasty 1-2 combo back there 2 years ago. But when you have Cote, Carcillo, Asham and Lappy in the line up. Your not going to lack toughness ever.

Lindy on RWC broke the news to us.

When i see Cam Janssen, all i think of is Pantera.. is that a problem? or odd at all? Also, how does one go about getting an apartment, when you've never gotten one before, I' just got declined because of no previous rental history..FFFFSSSSSSSSSSSS

I WANT TUFFNESS@@@@

They are similar yes, But Neil is alot more proven in both his Fighting and Scoring. Neil is a willing fighter, he buzzes looking for hits, he'll take on anyone regardless of mismatch, he also can put up consistant points. Neils 2m contract is a reflection of Ottawa not wanting to give him up, His FA Value isn't/wasn't 2m. It's more or less in the 1.5-1.8 range. Moen's toughest competition last year was Boll and Fedoruk. In the Boll fight he faired well they were both swinging for the fences, But against Fedoruk he got himself handed to him, But in all fairness he dropped the gloves to fight Jovo, but Fedoruk got in the middle of things. Overall, Neil will fight heavies and will do well, where as Moen is a LHW fighter at best, but fights has been fighting Middleweights and Relative Non Fighters more so then Heavies. Which isn't a bad thing, heavies are a thing of the past, But the intimidation factor would be lacking. You take into account that Moen isn't the same physically as Neil, That deducts some $$, You take out the fact that Moen was only a 20 point getter ONCE in his career, Where Neil has been Three times. I can see Moen getting a slight raise from last years 900k contract, Maybe into the 1.2m range. But with alot of teams already spending there money, Moen might have to take less on a 1 yr just to prove himself.. IMO.

I think we are adding by subtracting to be honest. we loose the WE GOT STARS, WE CAN SCORE ANY TIME WE WANT and now we have to go back to what makes the wings, the wings and that is unselfish 2-way play.. atleast thats what i hope. but i'am nothing more then estatic that Hudler is gone.

He would be another feel good Cleary type story. Bell has the skill, he has the size, he has the toughness. It's just he needs a team that will give him the chance to make or break his career. I think it's a long shot for Detroit to take a look at Bell, But i wholeheartedly hope they do, Bell isn't going to fight the way Drake did 2 years ago or Downey did, But he'll be able to fill Drakes roll as the player who will deliver retribution with a devestating hit. I really want Roy btw.

Like, if anyone on this forum knows me, i'am a huge advocate for toughness, gritty and cheap hockey. Yet Val Filpulla is my favorite wing. How does this happen? I'll tell you. He never takes a shift off and he plays both ways. Those things are two things i look for in a hockey player and val does them both exceptionally well.

Travis Moen - 4th Line Pressense, Will Scrap, Rather Good Skill Level Mark Bell - 4th Line Pressense, Gritty, Edge, Big Hitter. Dean McCammond - Has wheels, Good 3rd/4th liner Andre Roy - Total Nutjob, Great Enforcer. Brian McGrattan - Best Enforcer left on the market. Top 3 Heavyweight.

He's had some very entertaining fights i might add
