That contract would be front loaded to, I dont see why Hossa wouldn't sign. I'm happy that he didn't i dont want cap issues down the road. I think our team will be more of a team next year. I think the one-man show that Hossa tried to run when he was on the ice, kind of ruined the overall team chemistry.

Sad to hear that Aaron wont be re-signed, Dont really care that much about Mac, He was pretty much done before he started. It was a good heart warming story though. But if the rumor about Neil/Orr is true, Then consider me a happy camper. OMFG, Could you imagine Neil and Orr? instead of one or the other? Both teams win. Oilers get that prolific scorer that they want/need. Ottawa dumps Heatley whilst picking up some much needed help with Cog's and Penner, Throw in Smid and i think Ottawa got the upper hand on that deal. I enjoy this trade for both teams.

comparing downey to neil? really? Dont remember Downey ever netting 33/28 points in back to back seasons. Neil, is well worth the 1.8 imo. Could you imagine a Helm,Neil and Abdelkader line? If Helm plays the way he does in the playoffs.. Abdelkader plays the way he does in GR.. and Neil is just himself.. that could be a very devastating line to match up against.. That would be the new grindline for sure. PIPEDREAM OVER! There is no way in hell Neil will be a wing.

Flyers and Kings. If the offseason gives me no glimmer of hope for a tougher team, Odds are i'll be following the Flyers alot more this upcoming season, Then i have in previous seasons. How is Knuble or Shanny anything close to Drake? Drake is a balls to the wall player, who would give anything for his team. He was a classic meat and potatoes player who would do whatever it took to win at all costs.. Shanny and Knuble are watered down players who struggle to keep up with the pace of todays game.

Pearce, Will be in the ECHL i'd think, With spot AHL duty. Larsson and McColumn will be manning GR next year. Howard will be in Detroit, Or playing for another NHL team next year, since he is out of options. Conklin will either force Howard out of town, Or sign for a better contract Ozzie will be our starter.
