What a painful game to watch. The Bolts' power play before their second goal resembled a 5 on 3 for long stretches of time........kind of reminded me of the way the Wings used to treat opponents in the not too distant past. The Wings are a physically weak team, always seem to lose the 50/50 battles, and they are no longer skilled enough to overcome that fact. It's hard to blame Datsyuk for wanting to get the hell outta there..........prospects for quick improvement look bleak. It's time for Holland to make some drastic changes, but we all know what the chances of that are. I'm sure he's still muttering to himself "We like our team".

Maybe it's been mentioned in this thread already, but Franzen's main perception problem is that he's a *****. A guy that big has to be one of the guys who makes a stand when you're getting pushed around, and Franzen's never been that guy. If Mule had a bit more Shanny in him, he'd be loved. Fact is though, when he's healthy, he's worth his salary. kitten

I've been a Redwings fan since the early '80's..........flown to Chicago, LA, Denver, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, St. Louis and of course, Detroit to watch em play. If there is no hockey this season, I'm done with the sport for good. They can all kiss my ass.

What a ride!!.......Hindsight is 20-20, but I remember thinking that losing 7 of our last 11 regular season games to finish 1 point behind SJ for the 2 seed might come back to bite us in the arse.........maybe it did..............game 7 at the Joe would have been a trip.

I disagree. The Sharks could be a bit fragile right now and trailing early might not sit well with them. Lets be real.........they've never won anything.
