See this is what I don't get. I did not start talking about Crosby at all in this thread. I thought Ovechkin performed yet another dirty play and was baffled that there were people defending him. Man some people are insane.

While not having a player of Ovechkin's caliber hurts. I believe that neither team is actually playing for something is the bigger reason. The game wasn't even that entertaining in the beginning either.

Yes, yes I would. I do not like these hits from behind. Name a play when Crosby almost ended someone's career though? He just doesn't have the borderline plays stacked up like Ovechkin does. Sorry. Reality is what it is.

Get away in the sense of the media and fans. It seems no one wants to hold him accountable for his actions. This. Has. Nothing. To. Do. With. Crosby. And I defend Crosby because I do believe that whining and diving is less serious then potentially ending players careers on a laundry list of borderline hits. But again, let's focus on Ovechkin. I do not want to talk about Crosby.

Because the NHL controls Ovechkin's actions or anything. It's not their fault the player has no respect.

Why even bring up Crosby? Are you going to try and defend Ovechkin? How many times is Ovechkin going to get away with an unintentional borderline hit, it's not like he's never did anything wrong before?

Ovechkin is such a cheap player. Just goes around cheapshotting people and hiding behind refs. It makes me sick to think there are actually people that like how he plays. It's disgusting.

As long as he doesn't start spouting to the media again I have no issues with bringing him back. He's really doing well with Howard, and hopefully still has some goaltending left in the tank from last playoffs and a few of his good game this year.

Kesler is a center. Flippula would be moved to 3rd line. I would love Kesler on the Wings, I just don't see Vancouver not re-signing him. He's too valuable on that team.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. That said, I don't mind how that rule is written. I'm worried on how it's going to be enforced, I don't have a whole lot of faith on the officials.
