Exactly. Same with the WJ's. North American hockey is just a lot better. -
Jack Johnson is American, and Flippula is Finnish. Johnson is already 10x the player Flippula could ever hope to become.

As an American I'm having trouble not cheering for the best player to ever play the game in Sidney Crosby. The guy plays the game with such grace and intelligence it's just breath taking. That said, I'll be happy with either result on Sunday for this very reason.

Are you kidding me? Ovechkin hasn't done a thing but shoot the puck and cherry pick. Crosby is 10x the overall player that Ovechkin could even dream of becoming.

Crosby is the heart and soul of the team. He is taking all the pressure off the rest of his teammates and he knows that if he scores and they lose that the country is to blame, but if he doesn't score and they lose then he can be to blame. Crosby is such a great role model. It amazes me.

Well there aren't a whole lot of words that could adequately describe how horrible the Russians are at hockey. Granted that was probably not the best thing to say on a National broadcast in today's age. -
Euro hockey just cannot match against good North American hockey.

Not a good decision by Tollefsen at all and he deserved the ejection, then again I really don't think it was completely malicious. Helmets need to stay on the head, players need to take the precautions that are already in place seriously. Elbows are going to happen, unfortunately it's a fast game and players will make mistakes. Hope the best for the Slovakian player, that was a very scary after math.

Well to be fair most of these fights happened way before or after practices it wasn't so much a way to get pumped up as it was a way to pass time when there wasn't a whole lot else to do. Wasn't so much about acting tough as it was having having fun.

PPG is such a crap statisic... There is more to the story. Hossa has had several very good playoff performances, Thornton barely has one. Get over your Hossa hate, he is one of the best wingers in the league and he had to play through an injury which required surgery last playoffs. Hossa has more goals in one playoff run than Thornton has his whole playoff career.

Except Hossa has like 30 more games. And has a couple playoffs where he was great 02-03, 07-08. Sorry it's not a comparison. Hossa is by no means a great playoff performer, but he is far from Thornton.
