That a way J.Willy. Nice shot.
-
Datsyuk and Zetterberg need to stop going into invisible mode.
-
He's been better the last couple games. He is what he is, a 6th defenseman.
-
Franzen is playing the way everyone on this team should be. Nabokov is solid tonight.
-
By the way, why is every blaming Babcock for Ericsson not playing his position properly? He's an NHL player, he's a big boy he shouldn't need excuses. We have a lot of injuries, the pairings aren't going to be perfect. Now he has Ericsson/Rafalski. You'll probably start blaming Babcock for that now too. He just doesn't have many options.
-
There is a difference of making a couple mistakes in the beginning of the season, and then keep making them almost 3/4 the way in. I doubt you'll see many Ericsson supporters make excuses for him now.
-
Ericsson is running out of excuses from me. He's making some brutal mistakes. Come on Big Rig, you are better than this.
-
Howard saving us early. Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Franzen? They better score.

Hudler is a good hockey player. Just wish he didn't give up on his team.
-
Yeah but the thing is Flippula is not going to be able to get Versteeg... Flippula is barely worth a 3rd round pick.
-
Just like how Hossa was not going to happen. Or that there is no way Leino could be traded? Or that there is no way Jimmy Howard could be a starter? Or that there is no way the Wings could miss the playoffs? Come on, pretty much anything about hockey is relevant.

Have fun on your high horse, just hope it doesn't trample a critter and you are devastated for weeks about it.
-
Sooo you are saying a fan hockey forum isn'tsupposed to talk about trading possibilities? I think your new to this thing. It's just speculation, not like it's a completely irrelevant topic about a trained sloth that's able to fly a fighter jet.

Ugh, Damon is not what the Tigers need. He's like the only person in the league that could actually make our already terrible outfield worse...
-
Try shooting when someone is about to hit you. Oh wait just ask Salmela... Clean hit is clean, nice goal hope he's ok. Hockey is a great game. The End.
-
The Wings have had like 7 must win games already. Blues played like crap. Mason especially, although if Conklin plays verse the Wings he is getting a shut out.
-
We have a decent 3rd line center in Flippula. We could use a good scoring winger though.
-
Agreed, I just use it because people seem to think shoulder to head hits just started happening.
-
Shoulder to head hits have always been in the game.
-
Great hit.

That's fine, it's just once each player gets older Crosby's finesse passing game will still allow him to put up points. Where as Ovechkin's points will live and die by his pure physical domiance. ALTHOUGH Ovechkin is becoming a much better playmaker so we'll definitely see, but also Crosby is shooting a lot more as well. It's pretty clear they are far and away the two best players. Kovalchuk just isn't as dominate offensively like Ovechkin to make up for his lack of defensive game. I just have Crosby/Ovechkin as the very best players. Malkin is up there, but he's so inconsitent it's very discouraging seeing him take games off...
-
Don't even try. Red Wing fans will never give Crosby credit. They are complete homer's when it comes to him. Just give it up. I agree though, I believe Crosby has a better chance of a longer career than Ovechkin due to play style. Granted anything can happen.

Gretzky was only good because of Coffey and Kurri.

I'm talking about the quality of players in the bottom of the lineups. 3rd and 4th liners in today's game are much more talented than the 3rd and 4th liners of the 80's. There were many quality European players that did not play in the NHL in Gretzky's time. Gretzky was the best player of his era, and more then likely the best player of all time. I just hate comparing eras.
