If Osgood had anything left in the tank, he would of fired up his team and used his vast experience to inspire at least himself to have a good outing. Osgood is going to need a stretch like he had at the end of the year last year. Every year is different, that said Osgood should get a couple opportunities towards the end of the year to prove what he can do. I have faith in either goaltender, but Howard will have to be extraordinary or Osgood will have to vastly under-perform for Jimmy to get the nod. If it's fairly even it should be Osgood.

Bleh, not with it today haha. There are plenty of players contributing. Leino is not one of them, hopefully he can pick it up but half way through the season is more than enough time for fans to give a player before he starts getting bashed. He may be a Wing, but he certainly isn't helping the team a whole lot.

The 2 year contract doesn't start until he comes back to the NHL. Which is good because while he is developing (Hopefully) when he comes back he'll be stuck at that salary while being in his prime.

As much as I agree with you, I'd still like to see Hudler back. For his cap hit, he could very well put up great numbers. I'd really doubt we could get a value on the open market. That said we might be able to swing a great deal with him as a center piece, but he'd still need to come over for that to happen. So either way I hope he comes back, he could help the team either way. But he certainly isn't helping when he isn't playing in the league.

Haha that definitely doesn't happen all the time. Players seemed to handle it well though. I remember that happening while I was playing in Montana, but we just kept playing haha.

Osgood will get a start soon enough, San Jose wouldn't be the best game to give Ozzie a chance in. Islanders or Canes hopefully he can get his turn to rack up some wins so everyone can go back to saying he's a HoFer and the best goalie ever.
