Unless the rift between Osgood and Babcock is truly thatbad there is no point. Osgood will be fine, he's made a career of being under appreciated until it matters, then being over hyped to hell after actually playing well. He's lived a Jekyell and Hyde type career in regards of fan appreciation and media attention.

Oh that would be great!!! Please please do well KHL, get rid of soft Euros!!
-
The NHL just needs to stop the obstruction on Sidney Crosby. It's ridiculous the amount of goals that are taken away because of teams cheating trying to contain Crosby.
-
It's frustrating for sure, and as fans we should expect improvement and this year has been far from an improvement. But to say the NHL is the worst league in this regard is just simply not true that's all I'm saying. To absolutely rip apart the integrity of the league over a situation which is happening in all other major sports is what I disagree with.
-
I hope he posts a shut out, we need Dallas to fall off fast.
-
NHL is fine, Sidney Crosby is just beginning his great career. Haters gonna hate. If you don't like hockey don't watch it.
-
Oh please, there are blown calls in every major sport. Look at the Yankee's during the baseball playoffs, look at the college National championship game, look at practically any NFL game. Replay is still getting the kinks worked out, it's impossible to never mess up. Get over it, lifes not fair and it's not perfect.

Good teams make their own luck. Stay classy.l Crosby>

I didn't call out anyone.
-
Geez you take everything literally, just sit back and enjoy a victory man. I said the bashing comment mostly in terms of Osgood, I don't think anyone should be bashing him like a few have. I'm not going to go through a 27 page thread to find quotes to prove something to you, I paraphrased sarcastically what the gist of what the points about Howard vs. Osgood were, I don't really care to debate meaningless words about something like this Howard keeps playing well, and I'm happy that's all that matters to me.
-
But the teams he's beat are all bad, and he can't perform well verse high ranked teams. Oh... He can't recover from that Anaheim game!! He's a rookie they can't start consecutive games! Oh... He's over worked from starting 7 games in a row as a 25 year old. Oh... I didn't see the "travesty" that was giving Howard the King's start over Osgood. He managed to steal of a game. Osgood will get his chance, right now we all should be focusing on seeing our rookie goaltender put up very solid performances fairly consistently behind a very injury riddled team. No reason to bash either goaltender.

It's not a big deal, Philly had the game in the bag with/without that goal. It's a very close call, and I don't think it's that devastating of a mistake even if it was a mistake in the first place.
-
No reason to say Osgood would of lost, that can't be proven and doesn't really contribute much other than fueling the Osgood lovers. Let's all just be happy for Jimmy Howard and leave it at that.
-
Good to see Howard can respond after not playing great verse Anaheim. He's progressing very well.
-
DARREN HELM SUCK IT HATERSSS HAHAHA
-
You can't see the puck, and the officials cannot assume to know where the puck is. Not a big deal.
-
That a way Cleary!!!!
-
Howard is doing very well early. Kings are coming out very hard.
-
I think you're on to something... haha
-
Maybe Howard is practicing "very well"?
-
I was kidding when I made the "Z and Cleary are coming back just in time for Dats + homer to go down" comment. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo
-
Did that situation hurt the team in anyway?
-
After Conklin had to carry the load most of the year. Not like that situation hurt the team anyways, which is my point. This shouldn't be as big of a deal as it's made out to be. If Jimmy Howard let's in 5 bad goals on 20 shots and still gets the start then I'll agree there is something going on, or when Osgood gets a start and puts up a shut out yet doesn't get the next start. Until that happens this is all just tactics by a coach to win games. That's all it is, at least to me.
-
The only pattern I see is how Osgood has been very inconsistent the last two regular seasons. Who is to say Conklin wouldn't have came in and played well like Osgood? As for the tin foil hat, I'm not the one that thinks an NHL head coach is holding a personal vendetta against a player that very well might cost him to lose games and impact Babcock's future job security. Right now Babcock needs to win games, he knows it and he is doing what he thinks is the best thing to do it. He has much bigger issues(Injuries, scoring, PP, line combos, who to send down, who to keep up etc.) than worrying about Osgood's ego.
-
Just be sure to wear your tin foil hat next time you are at a Red Wing's game with a "Fire Babcock" sign.
