You're right my bad, got the goals mixed up. I meant the second goal where Rafalski tripped over Howard. Howard wasn't able to challenge because of Ralaski's poor positioning.

Goalies usually don't have better numbers against top teams compared to lower seeded teams. He is winning as a rookie, and putting up damn good numbers doing it.

Rafalski was to blame on the first goal, second goal was a bad decision though I'll give you that.

No way Howard can play well verse "real" competition. As evident by his performance tonight. Oh wait...

Actually Kopitar is a lot better skater then Phanuef. Phanuef knows this so he does his best to get in defensive position to contain Kopitar, they joust for position and Kopitar lost. Phanuef gets the penalty and deserves it.

No all I'm trying to say in Osgood will be good in the playoffs and most likely later in the year. But he struggled in the regular season last year, and is struggling early this season. He will turn it around, but Howard also needs start because he is the future and we have to know what he is capable of.

So you expect Phanuef to let Kopitar touch the puck then try to poke check him? Both players were going hard into the boards, Kopitar ended up getting the worst of it. Phanuef deserved the penalty. End of story.

So being "great" for Osgood is letting in two goals. Good to know.

I'm NOT saying it's justified at all. But much like the Canadadian junior hit a while back, sometimes players put themselves into situatoins where the other player has to make a "dirty" play because that was the position they were put in. Phanuef can't go in the corner first as a defenseman, and Kopitar can't let up. But if Phanuef let's Kopitar gain possession of the puck, Phanuef does not play his position correctly. It's just another situation that should be avoided because of the no touch icing, but instead the NHL expects players to make split second decisions to protect themselves instead of the league protecting the players.

Huh? All I'm saying is Kopitar could have went into the play differently. Phanuef still deserves whatever he got, but that situation unfortunately in a no win for either player and that's all I'm getting at.

Someone is just angry that Osgood is turning into the Ville Leino of the NHL goaltenders.
