What Five Current NHL Players Do You Hate the Most?
Carman replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
1. Perry 2. Ott 3. Tootoo 4. Jackman 5. Ovechkin -
Always the challenge, but with great leaders like Sidney Crosby in the locker room it shouldn't be a huge issue.

Really liked the picks. Good roleplayers, face off men, shot blocking defenseman, and young. Good picks Stevie, good picks.

The only perspective I need is at the moment he is giving the team a chance to win games. I'm happy with that. NHL competition is NHL competition, the NHL is close enough in terms of standings that the best teams aren't that far away from the worst teams. He's winning games at the NHL level, it doesn't matter who they are against we need every single win we can get, because right now we are fighting for a playoff spot. Osgood deserves his chance, he's earned it, but Howard is the future and we all need to be happy that he is finally playing at level which puts him in categories with other legitimate NHL goaltenders that are versing the same competition as him. Howard is playing well behind a team playing without 6 of it's top 8 players, enjoy it is all I'm asking.

Tougher oppenents? It's the damn NHL. I'm not a big Howard fan, but do you really have to go through the schedule to pick apart practically the only bright spot so far this season? He's playing well with the opportunity he is given, isn't that all you can ask?
-
You do realize Nick Lidstrom is 72nd in PPG for defenseman, right? And tied for 125th in goals, right? Clearly he is not playing well. That said Lidstrom deserves the benefit of the doubt, he's been the league's best defenseman for a long time and that talent doesn't just disappear.

Made me laugh as well.
-
That's for an event, not after a game/practice etc.
-
Crosby doesn't charge. Then again Crosby is a better person.
-
I'm not going to say he deserved a better fate. He did have a very good game, but still lost. Mason had a better game, therefore Howard doesn't deserve the shut out. I've been happy with Howard though, he is far from a problem right now he's playing great.
-
If he keeps playing like he has for the last 15 or so games. Yes.
-
What problem is goaltending causing?
-
Here's a good test. He wasn't invisible verse USA. He was easily the main focus of the American's Fowler was shadowing him the whole night. Not to mention North American hockey dominates soft Euro hockey so Tatar was at the disadvantage because his team is full of soft Euros.

Isn't this goal missing?
-
It's not just Lidstrom I'm worried about, Rafalski is right there with him in terms of poor production. Nothing I can do but hope they can start turning it around on the powerplay.
-
It was in the Slovakia game I coudln't find it though. He looked really good in that game, physical and can skate pretty well.
-
Good pace to the period. We need to get more traffic around Mason. Brad May is awesome.
-
Good, Columbus is even worse and Washington loses their leader.

Malkin's non-suspension was not a blatant example of favoritism. The way the rule is written is to discourage team's from sending out enforcers at the end of games. Malkin is not an enforcer therefore was not penalized further. Sure the back to back games hurt the Wing's, but so did having a very tough series verse the Blackhawks. More rest benefits both teams especially considering the Wing's did well in the beginning of the series.

Not sarcasm Sarcasm Sarcasm Not sarcasm How did I do?
-
Yeah yeah. Just watch out for people trying to piss in your cereal while you're at it. So pretty much you are saying that everything that the NHL stands for and is about is like the WWE. Sorry don't buy it, I've watched the series calls weren't biased, even if they were injuries played a bigger factor then random calls/non calls.
-
I still think us not having our best players as healthy as the Pittsburgh Penguins' players have more to do with our loss then phantom officiating conspiracies. You can go ahead and hope that the integrity of the game we all love has completely dissolved into a marketing scheme to award the championship to teams that the league figures would produce more money. I'll believe that the game is the game until proven otherwise. I don't like to believe things that I cannot see for myself.
-
Because the refs controlled the injuries of the Red Wings...
-
Someone has a problem detecting sarcasm... I believe that Crosby is currently the best player in the NHL. But if you think I was serious when I said Crosby>Gretzky then I can't help you. Sorry I enjoy typing ridiculous things on the internet sometimes. Hopefully it doesn't hinder your experience too much.
