Don't like his attitude. I'd rather get a little more proven goal scorer.
-
Great hit, good reaction by both teams. Stajan comes back to have a good game. Entertaining hockey game is entertaining.
-
Holmstrom has be surprising healthy.
-
That's not the point. He's Kris "god damn" Newbury.
-
Well... At least we have Newbury in the line-up for sure now.
-
I'm doing my best to ignore his play until he does something great. Hopefully it works out.
-
Miller/Eaves have been my favorite story so far this year. I hope we've found a couple solid players for our bottom 6 for years to come.
-
Fine, I just believe your best players should be your best players. Kronwall still has more points then Lidstrom...
-
But he isn't playing good for a 7.450 million dollar defenseman. He's not getting paid to just be a great shut down defenseman, we need his production now more then ever. And in your post you are blaming his decline on line mates and injuries. The first PP is pretty much intact(until now=P) and everyone on the line is doing decent enough on the PP except for Lidstrom. His shot lost a lot of velocity and even accuracy. It's pretty obvious Lidstrom is not playing up to Lidstrom standards. I expected decline, but the way he has been struggling in the offensive zone is a concern of mine.
-
No one is saying trade Lidstrom... They are just commenting that his play is not up to what he was last year. His decline in the offensive side of the puck is a concern because of the amount of offense we have already lost this season. That's all.
-
Tied for 63rd in defensive scoring(tied with Marc Staal just fyi) from a Norris Canadian season is not "good play". Especially with the amount of PP and Ice time he gets. I'm not saying Lidstrom sucks or anything, but he should be playing better in the offensive end. He's been good defensively though.

Great gritty win tonight. Hope the best for Zetterberg. We are really looking good lately, Babcock is doing a great job.
-
Great freaking hit. Hope Zetterberg is fine.

You suffer the consequences of your actions. I believe Bertuzzi didn't mean anything horrible to happen to Moore, but it did so he has to deal with everything that comes with paralyzing a fellow player. He did his time, and lost a lot of different things because of this situation, he'll forever been known for this, and that's enough punishment in my mind. What's in the past is in the past to me, Bertuzzi was a very nice and down to earth guy when I've met him and that's how I'll picture him in my mind, I'm not going to judge him for one mistake; Although I don't blame people that would.

Exactly, think of the future of the players we could get for him.
-
Lmao... Someone is jealous of the most talented hockey player in the NHL and the youngest captain of a Stanley Cup winning team in the history of the NHL. If he's a ***** for not fighting Pronger, then throw in 80% of the NHL players that don't fight as ******* as well haha.

I hate that commercial... Cam Fowler will probably destroy the Canadians before Tatar gets to them anyways.
-
They all suck. Tatar is going to embarrass them all.
-
Poor guy, why do you have to be mean?
-
Franzen for Hartnell? I'd do it...

Tootoo is also out for a couple weeks with a broken foot.

Should the Wings Allow Players to Play in the Olympics?
Carman replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
Jimmy Howard is going to get the starting job over Ryan Miller. He's been much better this year. -
Hossa is a top 5 winger in the league. Wing's fans were lucky as hell to be able to cheer for him. He carried this team on his back in the regular season, and still put up decent numbers while being injured. He is one of if not the highest scoring active winger, and is still in his prime. He's close to a career PPG playoff performer while helping three different teams make it deep into the playoffs. It was a damn privilege to have that caliber of a winger on the team, it's a shame we won't have a Winger as good as Hossa again for a long time.
