This season is lost, might as well build for the future. Obviously this team only had a 3 year window to be competitive.

To be honest I'm not writing the Chicago games as must wins. I don't think we should be worried about winning the division at the moment. Chicago is pretty much 100%, so unless they have a bad game the Red Wing's aren't very likely to win those games.

Pretty much just got to win 3 or 4 games out of 7 until Flippula comes back. Just keep our head above water. Howard will carry us!

Pretty big impact if we could trade him for a good North American player like Ryan Callahan. Other then that he would just fake an injury to collect his pay check like usual. -
Well Datsyuk for Lecavalier straight up would never work Lecavalier is a face of a franchise. Plus you have to make the salaries close.

Don't like hearing things like this, hopefully it's not true and just speculation. It doesn't seem to be an issue of effort on the ice so I tend to think it's more of a physical issue than anything else.

Think we can trade Datsyuk and Filpulla for Lecavalier? He's the type of player that would really break out in a hockey market.

Lebda is fine as a 6th defenseman. For some reason it seems he's getting more ice time than in the past... That said I don't think he is the type of defensemen we need, I'd rather have a slow, big physical densemen in his place.

Someone said that Hossa wouldn't be worth it. And I disagreed.

I believe the Red Wing's would benefit more from having a 40+ goal scoring winger then a 90+ point playmaking center.

He's been about as invisible as you can get. Being a healthy scratch and all.

He is not capable of 100+ points. He hasn't done it yet and is on pace for 67ish points. Think of what we could get in return!!! Trade him to Buffalo for Tyler Myers imo.
