I don't believe Zetterberg was that injured beyond the regular rigors of playoff hockey. And Lidstrom is still Lidstrom. And you don't think Crosby wasn't banged up either? That's pretty naive.

Kudo's for him drawing the attetion of the Red Wing's two best players so his complementary player could get the ice he needed to help the team win. He carried the team to the finals, and took the brunt of Detroit's main focus in the Finals.

Check the face-off stats again. He is the best in the league at the moment. Centers are much more signifcant to team victories than wingers, that's just the game and my opinion. Come on Drake are you really going to tell me +/- is the best stat to use for defense? How about Ovechkin's 25 giveaways compared to Crosby's 17. What about the 40% more games with that stat?

Babcock thinks he is the best option right now, and I believe Babcock understands the situation thoroughly. We just don't have the depth on Winger's right now for the Datsyuk line to truly get back to top line form. That's it.

Everybody knows McCarty > Crosby > Ovechkin.

How did Ovechkin do on those faceoffs or those battles in the defensive zone? Oh wait, he is cherry picking during those situations. I'll take a top center over a top winger anyday. Let me know the last Winger to lead a team to a Stanley Cup.(serious question it could of been a couple years ago for all I know haha).

Crosby is paid just a bit more than Bertuzzi. The fact is if a 1.5 million dollar player is up there in multiple categories he isn't hurting the team as much as some people here pretend he is. That's all I'm trying to get across. I don't think Bertuzzi should be a top 6 forward, thing is we don't have another player that is more suited for the role without using our center depth which could be even worse than using Bertuzzi with Datsyuk. This is a side effect of injuries players are going to be placed in roles they shouldn't be in. Bertuzzi is doing all he can to fit into Franzen's shadow, and to say he isn't trying is just offensive and frankly pisses me off.

Highest +/- on the team, best face-off man in the playoffs(or tied with Zetterberg), 37 less penalites minutes than Malkin, more goals than Malkin, 7% higher shooting percentage than Malkin, same TOI. The finals are a testament of how effective Lidstrom/Zetterberg are, not how much better Malkin is than Crosby. If Malkin was more dangerous, Zetterberg and Lidstrom would of shadowed him not Crosby.

Not his girlfriend, not to mention Ovechkin treats women very poorly.

That's because Hudler's attitude was awful, and work ethic is even worse. He was smaller, and softer than even Leino which is remarkable. Not to mention Hudler played on a much more stacked team, then Leino currently is.

Yeah it is, but considering the numbers back me up I feel I have a more informed and legitimate opinion compared to a random opinion based on a fan's observation of a couple situations throughout the start of the season.

The only thing is we don't have another option for a shooter on the team. Zetterberg is finding his way on the line in critical situations, but we are lacking up the middle and can't consistently play the ZDH line. Bertuzzi is the best option, but he is more of a playmaker then a shooter so that's why the line is not looking dominate like they have in the past. Homer looked better today, and managed to finish so he did his job. Datsyuk is just going to need to shoot more until we can start playing Zetterberg with him all the time when Flippula gets back. That's my 2 cents.
