It's actually starting to make me laugh. That was a gift, yet our best scorer still couldn't score... Ughhhhhhhh
-
Nice job by Bertuzzi to get it to the net. Homer needs to get those in.

They are it's on your FSD+ channel. More than likely high up in the numbers(mine is 901).

What I can't believe there are 2 players that only dominated the league for half the decade actually on the all-decade team. That makes no sense, I'd much rather have above average players that played the whole decade that didn't dominate their peers to be on the list before players who actually were the best players and in their prime for half a decade...

Hmm... Nothing on him being one of the top faceoff men? That's interesting. Anyways on iPhone so can't get my real opinion on the matter right now. But I will say numbers don't have as big of an impact in hockey as baseball.

It's not a bad idea by any means. In fact it's probably too perfect. Obviously is never going to happen, but for a dream it's not bad at all. They are probably going to expand here in the next couple years anyways.

Babcock to try rotating 3rd pairing against Atlanta

Interesting way to handle the D. And I'm guessing his hands are just tied with the Datsyuk line, I guess he thinks they are doing well enough for the team to win, and that he should focus on overall team defense? I don't know... -
I recanted that statement by the way, but what I meant is I expected him to say something along the lines of, "That wasn't my intention, and I hope Kronwall a quick recovery." or something to that extent. Not what he said in "it was an accident, I'm not worried." He has a history of "cheap shots", but rarely is refereed to as a dirty player atleast before this incident. And I made that post thinking he would of said something a little more respectable.

Yeah, must of just went with the OP's mentioning Cuminsky for some reason. And I agree about the Wilson* hit.
-
He is a career 112 and that's with playing on some pretty bad teams. He also plays on the PK on almost every team he played for, and is a main stay on the top powerplay unit. He is about as all-around of a winger as you can find.
-
Hossa horrible defensively? Are you mixing him up with somebody else? Hossa is a consistent 40 goal scorer and one of the best all around players in the league. Sorry he ran over your dog.
-
McCrimmon. And to a lesser degree Osgood.
-
Haha, so I take it Datsyuk didn't "try" either?
-
Will do. Although Detroit being the 28th ranked PK isn't exactly something to boast about. Oh and it's not like scoring is important at all either, your right.
-
Let me know when Datsyuk becomes a PPG playoff performer. You would of been better served to say Zetterberg.
-
He only needed 4 years to be a Stanley Cup champion.

I don't think his feet were off the ice. When you are skating backwards and stop to go forward the impact makes the player go up in the air. To me jumping into a check is when you are skating forward and gain speed to hit a player in the head, not skating backward and pivoting to deliver a shoulder check. Also the fact that it wasn't a blindside hit plays a role in my opinion as well.

Ok thanks for the feedback, haven't gotten the chance to see many Hawk games. Anways for the Wing's. Ericsson = B Not as good as he played in the playoffs, but is playing really well and eating up valuable minutes(PK/PP included). His production is very impressive for a rookie defenseman and besides a few bonehead plays is one of our strongest defensemen. Leino = D Very few positives from his game so far in my opinion, we need him to step up much more then he is showing. Production is not what I expected and neither is the effort. He's been up and down the line up and even got sat a couple games. Either he is getting beat up or isn't adjusting to the NHL the way I hoped. He hasn't been awful, but I hold him to higher standards than normal "rookies". Abdelkader = B+ Really improved his skating, and is really progressing well considering he would still be in the AHL if it weren't for injuries. Producing very well, hitting, and playing sound defensive hockey. Can't find much negative about his game so far this year. Helm = B+ Fastest guy on the team, hits everything, great PKer, good in the face off circle. Only reason he isn't getting an A is because some defensive blunders and he can improve on passing which is really important in the Red Wing's system. Jimmy Howard= B- Comes in and is winning games, all you can ask a back-up to do. Let's in some iffy goals, but has stole a few games for us. Hard to judge him with the lack of depth we currently have on defense right now.

Just curious not trying to be mean or anything. But from your perspective how has Kopecky been?
-
Man what were Chris Neil and Carkner doing for the Senators? How dare they let that puck cheap shot him on the bench.
-
I agree that Kane is not the best overall player. But the USA team has a good mix of defensive minded forwards and solid defense, that can easily cover whatever liabilities Kane might present. His benefits surely outweigh his lack of defensive game. The USA team needs all the scorers they can get.

I'll support a suspension here. I love Briere, but he did jump into that hit. Not quite sure what he was thinking got him way to high for that kind of play. EDIT: the Cumisky hit was all shoulder and a straight up check and didn't leave his feet before the check, much like Kronwall's checks. Not a blindside. Although there isn't a rule on a blindside hit yet, the NHL does tend to enforce rules harder on the blindside hits especially with an elbow.

Yeah, can't imagine having yet another captain of the Wing's. Btw nice sig. I love Cyanide and Happiness

Pretty damn good list. Can't really argue any. It's been awesome to grow up seeing Lidstrom play every single game. One of the greatest players ever.
