I don't think you're the only one Bertuzzi isn't a first line player anymore. Good enough for other roles though, but this line is exposing his weaknesses with a magnifying glass.

He should be playing in the AHL. He has zero board game, and is about as unphysical as they come. He isn't small either, it's not a physical issue. Not to mention he looked awful in every game this season with defensive zone blunders, penalities he was really hurting the team. Hitchcock tried him on the PP, and he was awful, he didn't forecheck well couldn't win battles etc. Also they need defense on that team 28th overall, obviously Hitchcock is going to want to play the people he trusts defensively. Hitchcock actually has the team making the playoffs, and winning the division he is doing this with a very average team. He needs every single player to buy into his system, and cannot afford to have a complete defensively liability in the top 6 if he is making huge mistakes at 7-8 minutes, he is going to be making even more at 15-18. All of his deficiencies would be solved playing one more year in the AHL. He needs to be playing physical north american hockey if he is going to want to reach his potential in the NHL. The KHL is more of the same comfortable game he is used to and will not help him in the area's he desperately needs, and will more then likely boost his ego as he becomes a leading scorer over there.

First-Ballot HoF? Definitely. One of the best power forwards ever. Number retired? It's iffy for me. I would have no problem seeing it retired, but there is hesitation on my part to say he should be up there. And to me if there is any hesitation of whether a number should be retired, it probably shouldn't be.

I'm glad Bettman is in charge. People will always need to blame something because it's out of their control. He is a great commissioner and will be looked back on for improving the league, not harming it.

I hope they keep all of them. Then they surely won't have any leadership or be a legitimate Stanley Cup contender. Hope they all like playing golf together for the next 10-15 years.

I wouldn't say that. I'm probably one of the biggest "negative" people about Howard, but he can certainly be a long term solution. Goalies are very strange usually don't develop until 5-10 years pass. He has the ability and potential to become an outstanding goalie overnight.

Keep playing Howard until Osgood is 100%, or Howard messes up. No reason to change anything when we are winning.

I don't mind shootouts in the regular season, but would like to see a change in the point system. As long as shootouts stay the hell away from playoffs it's fine. Have to sacrifice a little tradition in order to expand the fan base.

Just a little correction, Crosby is starting to play on the PK. He has about one shift less SH time then Datsyuk. Not saying he is good on the PK or anything, just saying he is atleast starting to play more defensively. Other then that I agree with your assement on Yzerman, I feel he gets short changed a little especially in comparisons to Joe Sakic.
