Not really, I don't even agree with the writer of the article. I'm just saying I can see where he is coming from. Zetterberg had a underwhelming regular season last year for his standards, and Datsyuk has been getting injured rather often. Also he isn't off base about the Central Division the Red Wing's will face the hardest season in recent memory I still think they can, but it certainly isn't automatic like it has been in past years. I don't see why the guy is a idiot for writing that article? Nothing that he wrote is a lie, he is getting paid to write his opinion. It's not like he said the Wing's are awful and won't make the playoffs...

What I mean by "on and off" is one shift(or even series/road trips) he can dominate, then another he can float around the ice and be invisible like he has been the first couple games of the year. I mean he could be a lot worse(Eric Staal ), but I just want to see him put up 80-100 points consistently season after season like other players of his salary.

I'm really liking the USA team, some good gritty young players, although Ron Wilson/Burke combo is scary. But if Miller can get hot they can definitely do some damage in the Olympics it's going to be a great tournament I can't wait.

Hard to argue against him, Datsyuk hasn't been himself in over 30 games and Zetterberg has just been on and off depending on the period.

Is it just me or is there a significant injury on practically every team? I'm not sure I've seen so many injuries so early in a season before.

I'd like to get Afinogenov for Holmstrom. Doubt Atlanta will take it though.

Classic case of a decent player getting paid more then he deserves because he fills a role another team needs more. That's it. I didn't love Sammy, but he was definitely a serviceable player a scored some key goals, fit our system well and hope the best for him as a Canuck, he still won't help them get passed the 2nd round though.

We don't have a solid backup to bail out Osbad once he needs his midseason break to go get a new motor scooter. I'm not confident that Osgood will be able to have a good regular season.

Really? The defensemen playing 15 minutes a night is the reason for the poor defense? He definitely isn't playing great, but the whole team has been on and off every other period, everyone is to blame why we aren't off to a good start. Let the new players settle in and start getting chemistry if we become 7-13 then you can start sounding the alarms.

Not when your team needs scoring, and you have been the leading scoring the past couple years and you are getting paid the 2nd highest salary on the team. 4-2 Red wings. Leino with a new hat, and Lidstrom with a goal and an assist for that big number.

Well it's amazing that a nine year old could do it, but honestly ever since Hisey did his version it's been a very popular move for younger kids to try and execute. Personally I've dedicated many breakaways in order to master it as well. Anyways Kudos for the kid!

Hey I agreed haha. It's not that it's just him. This team needs a wake up call. A firing would certainly get the attention of the young and veteran players alike. Really it's either the system isn't good, or Lidstrom's aging is effecting him more then we want to admit, and Kronwall/Stuart/Ericsson/Rafalski aren't as good as we thought either. And being most of the players are Stanley Cup Champions and McCrimmon isn't... well... yeah.

No team is going to contend with Pitt, it's naive to think anything else. They are by and far the team to beat in the east. 2 of the best players to play the game, plenty of depth, spectacular goaltending. And everyone is in their prime. Glad we won't have to compete with them until the Finals.

My bad put one too many Mays in there, he would be 3rd line. And Abby has the potential to score many more points then the rest of the bottom 3. We can't keep sending young players to the minors, not when we have big injuries and the salary cap catching up, we need them to start growing up quick.

On a team with several HoFers and the foundation of a 15- year long dynasty. You HAVE to take into account the players each player was surrounded with. The season's are comparable.
