better not lie to me

There isn't a reason Quincey shouldn't work out. He's played very well elsewhere. You aren't just going to let go the defenseman you spent a 1st round pick on after like 30 games. Especially when you're a team in need of defenseman. Now obviously the move hasn't worked out, but it's still early in Quincey's career, wing's have invested too much, and need him to play to his potential.

That's funny because it's been the opposite with them on the team. Wings 6 goals franzen with 5 goals and Kindl with the 6th

It's his fault because during 4v4 situations you play man to man. It was a 3 on 3, and he had the late guy. -

Last season he was top 3 in SV% and GAA first half of the year. What more did he need to do? Ended up 9th is SV% and 6th in GAA after the wings collasped towards the end. How about 09-10 when he was in the top 5 of both SV% and GAA? Is that not elite for an extended period of time? Look I'm not saying Howard is Brodeur or anything, but he's proven he can be an elite goalie, put him in St Louis's system facing 20 shots a night and watch him win a Vezina. Goalies are usually benefited by their team's you are right. And I have seen him put up those numbers, 09-10, and last season's first half. -

Don't mean to belittle or anything, I think we both agree there are bigger problems. Just saying, Howard has proved he can be an elite goalie for an extended period of time, that's all. -

Did you watch the first half of last season? -

Obviously haven't played goalie, and or any high level hockey. Reading the puck off the stick is the most important moment for a goalie, it's his only time to make a reaction, and when that gets screened or his own players stick gets invovled the goalie can only position himself, not react to where to puck is going. That goal 100% lies on Brunner leaving his guy open, then trying to make up for it by deflecting the shot. He is not doing well on the point on the powerplay keeping the play alive along the boards, or keeping the puck in the zone. I like his potential, but maybe we need to not play him at the most important parts of the game, because that's the times where we are losing. -

Brunner's guy. He really is hurting us on the powerplay and defensively. -

We need Huskin's time, and Emmerton on the powerplay, they can't do any worse. -
Injured Helm: "Minor Setback", still out indefinitely, *merged*
Carman replied to Tim.D's topic in General
Better Helm miss a few games now to make sure he gets 100%, then knock himself out for the season. The back is something that will linger for a while though -

Great effort Big game, Chicago is off to a hot start, they didn't play well against columbus though so we'll see how they are tonight. -
1 point from being a playoff team, off to a tremendous start. Would hate to see us start losing because we are messing up our top 6, they are just starting to get it going.
-
Nyquist will get his chance. They want to use him in the top 6, and he's not needed right now. Why change up the chemistry when the Red Wings are playing so great?
-
Nyquist is on pace with 7 points in 19 games to have a Datsyuk type career. So he's pretty much a lock for the hall of fame.

Disagree there. Stuart will look to hit again if he knows he'll draw a 2 to 4 minute powerplay. With the instigation penalty there isn't player in the league that wouldn't take a few punches to put there team on the powerplay(Ok maybe there might be a few ), especially when the adrenaline gets going after a big hit. Back in the day when there wasn't the instigator I'd agree, you would be taking punches for nothing, but now you get a powerplay if I guy comes across the ice to fight you. Kinda why I think fighting has lost it's meaning. I don't think that intimidation is there anymore, players aren't scared that a Colton Orr is going to come across after a big hit, and if he does your team gets a powerplay so it's a win-win.

Honestly I think we are ok on bottom pairing guys, we have more than enough, we need that 22-30 minute guy to play with Kronwall. Corvo's not it.
-
Mostly true. Crosby is the best player of his era.
-
Definitely Huskins, guy is a superstar.
-
I agree he needs to be more aggressive in the corners, but he's playing safe. And honestly it might be what Babcock wants him to do. I believe they want him trying to get open in the offensive zone rather then muck in the corners. He has made a few bad reads defensively, but honestly he's been impressive playing top line minutes. He's doing what he's asked, so that's why we are high on him.

Parise was very very good, he was worth every bit of the money in my mind. Suter has been terrible. Then again it's early, and he's not playing with a perennial Norris candidate, in a Barry Trotz system, with Rinne in net, so he's not going to look as good as he did in Nashville.

signed Red Wings sign D Kent Huskins to 1-year, $750k contract

He's fit in perfectly for us. Really liked what I've seen will be a real good 7th guy this season. -
Oh come on, stop being so negative. Best team this decade at least.
-
Why does it seem Babcock plays the players that are having a bad night the most? IE. Why is cleary out there to end the game?
-
That was a sick turnover by that 100 million dollar defenseman!
