Tell you what, Quincey made a couple real nice plays on that penalty kill.
-
5v3, ok if we don't score trade Holland for Garth Snow
-
Nice job by the penalty kill, love seeing Huskins blocking those shots. Doing exactly what we got him to do, now if only our high paid guys start doing their jobs.
-
Datsyuk taking a penalty? Ugh, we really need to stop taking these.
-
Huge save by Howard!
-
Nice blocked shot by Huskins, nice penalty kill so far, shots aren't in traffic and off to the side.
-
Turnover, not a terrible penalty to take on Parise for Lashoff.
-
Nice moves by Datsyuk, good forecheck by Tootoo

you don't necessarily want to be cut to the ribbons as a hockey player. Hockey is a 45 second burst type sport, so you are able to carry more weight and size without it hindering performance unlike soccer.
-
Dustin Brown is tied for worst +/- in the league at -5, and Ryan Suter is tied for 3rd worst in league at -3, with zero points and two penalties.
-
Filpulla a 3rd line center? lol You do know he scored the 12th most points for a center last year right? I guess Brad Richards, Couture, Krejci, Weiss and Getzlaf are 3rd line centers too.

Franzen should have been at Tae Bo class during the lockout
Carman replied to Behind Enemy Lines in CO's topic in General
I was on the Hossa band wagon since the start, but it wasn't that easy of a decision at the time. Hossa was the more known commodity correct, but Franzen was coming off a 34 goal season, after 27 goals. And two brilliant, I mean brilliant back to back playoff performances of well over a PPG. and 25 goals in 39 playoff games. It was a player that the people in the front office saw grow right before their eyes into one of the more dominating playoff performers in recent memory. Franzen was due a raise, he had deserved it, but Hossa was an elite winger that I really wish we put more effort into keeping, but I understand the cap troubles the team had. They wanted to keep their developed playoff beast in Franzen, but they also had a raise for Zetterberg coming up in a year to 6.7 million after playing 2.6 for million, they had to go sign Stuart as well. I wish the wings did sign Hossa to that long term deal, but it wasn't just about Franzen and Hossa. -
Wasn't directed at anyone in particular, but Holland is going to the grave with Quincey I feel. No way he just cut's ties with the 1st round investment, in my eyes at least. In all seriousness I wouldn't mind a pretty decent sized trade to change the roster a bit.

Every minute of their entire 3 games have you? You don't say, you might as well tune out the rest of the season, because you know the rest of the story. No one is saying there shouldn't be an ounce of concern, and no one is saying they are going to be a president trophy winner, but it's very early, Wing's are injured, and things can and most likely will change for every team in the league. What if Crawford goes down for Chicago, and Hossa starts to get concussions symptons again? Hitchcock eats too many hotdogs and the team starts to lose focus and plays worse. Wing's aren't off to a good start, but to write their season off entirely is naive at best.

Trade Howard, for Gunnarsson, Mike Brown and a pick Trade Datsyuk, and Franzen for Luongo, and Edler Trade Filpulla and Nyquist for Coburn, and Simmonds, Sign Stalberg, Handzus, and Weiss Brunner-Zetterberg-Simmonds Stalberg-Weiss-Bertuzzi Abby-Handzus-Samuelsson Brown-Helm-Tootoo/Eaves Kronwall-Coburn Edler-Gunnarsson Smith- Ericsson-Lashoff Luongo Monster Buy out Quincey because f*** Illitchs money. And there's a quick 5 minutes wasted

No problem with it, as long as it's not a common occurrence after every goal. It was a big game tying goal, I like seeing the enthusiasm on rare occasions when the situation calls for it.
-
Suter has been brutal his first couple games, so lets judge that deal right now what a bunch of idiots in Minnesota for signing him. If you are going to call the wings season over then you should call that deal terrible as well. Or you could you know, wait and see for at least a few weeks of hockey to play out?
-
Guess Nashville should call it a season too since they lost to Columbus....Geez

If PK was a free agent I'd be more inline with overpaying him to get here. But the fact we'd need to give up players and picks, then sign him to a huge deal, I can see that move really back firing. I like PK as a player, but his maturity is a question, it would only be a matter of time before people turn on him and his slashing penalties. He had double the penalty minutes as any other Wing's defenseman(Took out his 3 majors), other than Quincey(Still had more than him). I don't think you can realistically rely on Subban for a big time contract without him proving his reliability to not take bad penalties that hurt the team. There is a reason Montreal isn't signing him, even though he's such a popular and good young player.

Can't hurt, at least you know Tootoo well take a beating in front, and can win the battles in corners.
-
Don't mind me, I don't read well haha. Yea for some reason I jumped to 05-06 thinking about the locked out year rather then shortened season. Either way, Ericsson is pretty much Scott Stevens.
-
Well that's why we got Huskin's Time™
-
Oh really? Rafalski-Martin Lukowich-Colin White Ken Klee- Matvichuk Malackhov/Albelin/Mcgillis/Hale I'm not saying we have a better defense, but let's not act like this is Scott Stevens/Niedermayer New Jersey Devils.

I don't get why people are down on Nyquist? He's doing fine considering he's play 12 minutes a game, he's got 7 points in his first 19 games. Datsyuk only had 5 in his first 19. And Zetterberg only 8 in his first 19. Now Nyquist probably isn't going to be any of them, but it's not like he's off to a terrible start. He's done just fine, there just isn't room in the top 6 quite yet.
