Voted yes, but not because it would make the team better, but it would just make more entertaining for me to watch and that's what I watch the games for after all.

That's a pretty sick thing to hope for. I wouldn't wish the amount of head injuries suffered by Marc Savard to anyone I've encountered in my own life, not to mention wish it on a person I've had no direct contact or interaction with. But alas, fans will be fans I suppose.
-
He's been in more fights than all the players in the top 5 points combined.
-
Yep there is no difference in the amount of attention/media given to him in his locker room compared to the All Star game weekend.
-
There is a clear difference of injuries, a concussion can be worsened greatly by the environment surrounding the All Star game, while non-concussion injuries aren't affected as much be the added media/fans/noise etc.
-
Always respected Forsberg and really think it's a shame that he's battled these foot injuries all through his prime. It would have been interesting to see how he could have produced through his prime during the change of rules. I wish him the best, and hopefully he can come back and play great so we can beat him again in the playoffs.

It was stupid to suspend Lids/Dats anyways, but if there was a line drawn on what injuries could keep someone out of the ASG festivities I believe it would be a concussion, not a charley horse. Good to see Crosby stills incites the posting adrenaline here at LGW though.

Hate is a strong word, but I put my vote in for Garth Snow. Not that I hate him for the Nabokov situation and embarrassing his organization, I'm just not a big fan of the name "Garth".
-
Really depends on how he plays. If he's getting the job done then he needs to fill in what Osgood would have done. If he's not doing the job we have to ride Jimmy and possible make a trade if the organization feels that Osgood won't be able to make a 100% recovery during the home stretch where we need to let Howard recharge.

Name Me a Better 2-Way Player Today than Henrik Zetterberg…
Carman replied to zetterbergfan's topic in General
Group A.Datsyuk Group B.Kesler/Zetterberg/M. Koivu Big bold black line Group C.Richards/Toews/Couture/Eriksson/Crosby/J. Staal/Bergeron/Zajak/Hossa/Backstrom I really want to put Zetterberg neck and neck with Datsyuk, but I just have to separate them, Zetterberg does need more recognition though on Selke voting. -

Not really. Not a lot of hoopla over something as similar, but then again Ovechkin can do no wrong in the eyes of everyone it seems.
-
You can't be serious... I try.
-
He's earned it by his performance.
-
Yep ugly slew-foot, not going to defend a play like that. But acting like Crosby is one of the dirtiest players in the NHL is just laughable. Ovechkin has like 3 slewfoots that are all worse than this.

Great shot Helm!

I wasn't thrilled. That said Hudler has a lot of time, nothing is going to happen while the team's winning. He'll get into a groove and start putting up points soon enough. He's been in the dog house before and fought his way out, don't see why it would be different this time(Although he's getting paid). I have faith the front office will do what's best, I can understand keeping him or shipping him off if they can get some value.

I am step for step with Babcock on the Hudler deal. Have to give him a chance to return to form, yet you also have to put the best team on the ice every night. Hopefully Hudler can be apart of that best Red Wings team sooner rather than later.

Ovechkin, Kovalchuk heard laughing after Caps' blowout loss
Carman replied to toby91_ca's topic in General
Woah woah, people smear Ovechkin more than Crosby? You are joking right?V nevermind don't answer this thread should have nothing to do with Crosby but once again his name is brought up. -
Sean Avery has more votes than Selanne, Getzlaf, Stewart, or Roy? ugh this is almost depressing, and I'm an Avery fan.

Boudreau is just mad because he is quickly realizing his coaching style will never work in the NHL. The Capital's are winning on pure talent, it would be scary if they actually got a good coach. Ovechkin has proved his worth more than Boudreau ever will, it's Ovechkin's team not his. -
Ok I don't think people understood my post. I understand the intent rule, and the inconsistency of the league concerning this goal and the Brad May goal. I was just saying goals like these should count, the puck was loose and the Penguin's didn't push the goalie into the net or anything. I'd like to think that would be a goal in the NHL, although I do understand the intent to blow rule now. My post was more in reply to the inability of the league to really consistently enforce the intent to blow rule fairly between all the different refs, having that goal decision come from one source is not a good idea and is just setting the referee's up for failure. And keep attacking me for the stance on irrational hate of Crosby, the post I replied to was really stretching to bash Crosby, I just was really interested what under that situation would you like for a captain of the team to do? I can understand disliking Crosby for many things, but this one I don't get. That's all.

Typical media again, and I'm not a big Ovechkin guy either. Two players getting together after the game and are good friends that have known each for a long time. Really should be no big deal. -
I don't see any controversy. The puck wasn't under control by the goaltender, and then it found it's way into the back of the net. That's a goal any day of the week. What the hell do you people want? Want him to just skate to the bench and never show emotion? The expectations you put on this kid are ridiculous, just sit back and enjoy his skill, he's the greatest player in the generation and I'm at a loss for words why people are losing out on great entertainment because they are jealous we don't have Crosby on our team. He was telling the ref to review the play, do you think he was telling the ref "HEY IM SIDNEY CROSBY AWARD ME A GOAL AT ONCE" come on now, the ref just said to him something along the lines of "we'll look at it calm down", like any other ref would if the same situation happened to any other team.
