The only reason it worked for Bertuzzi is because he actually was at one point good and showed effort. Hudler was never good, and doesn't show any effort. He needs to be waived and go re-learn the game in the AHL, that's the only way he's going to be able to maintain an NHL career.

Thanks. Glad to see I have people that see my point of view. Your support is appreciated.
-
Hudler just ruins everything.
-
Did I say Ericsson was dumb? It was more of a comment on how I hate the instigator rule than anything...
-
Did I bring up Crosby? I could of sworn somebody brought it up first.
-
Yeah but Crosby wins the fights and doesn't inspire the other team to score.
-
This is exactly why fighting is useless in today's game.
-
You notice that the people he fights have a visor as well?
-
Based on what? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeYe8UH4Jyo Looks like the only thing that's changed is media coverage and better cameras.
-
He won't get suspended, it wasn't a hit to the head.
-
Awesome, you aren't allowed to hit anymore. Great job NHL, soccer on skates here we come.
-
That's pretty offensive to sled hockey people, just saying...
-
I'd rather have them both over Ovechkin. Stamkos is a stud, I just wouldn't say I'd take him over Crosby yet. Crosby's been dominating for 5 years now.

Surely they aren't heavyweights, but they have some fighting experience. I really hope you don't legitimately expect Crosby to challenge Boogard or Macintyre haha. And yeah he lost the Ballard fight i wouldn't say he got his "ass kicked", he lost pretty decisively, but he didn't get ko'd or anything, but at least he dropped the gloves with him and took some shots. You bash him because he ragdolls, you bash him because he wears a visor, you bash him because he doesn't challenge fighters, you bash him because he loses a fight, you bash him because he fights, you bash him because he doesn't fight. Ahh jealousy...

Once again, he's faught Andrew Ference and Keith Ballard.
-
He's also fought Andrew Ference and Keith Ballard...
-
Crosby is now 4/5 in his fights. He can do everything.
-
Hudler was good before he lost all his talent in Russia. I'd love like Prust here, but I definitely don't want a Boogard/laraque/Macintyre type
-
Hudler isn't an NHL caliber player anymore. I can't wait to shift him off for a sixth round pick. He's overpaid, and unmotivated. He's just going to drag everyone down that plays around him. Keep him in the pressbox unless we have a rash of injuries.
-
Considering someone got suspended for a gesture, I find it amazing he's "shocked" he's being suspended for this incident.
-
I'm right with you, although I still have my concerns about his consistency through an NHL year. I want to see him rebound from a tough time without having to be sat.

But Miller has proven at the very least he's been a contributer on a Stanley Cup contending team. And he outworked Ritola in training camp. Ritola would have an incredibly hard time trying to secure a scoring future for the Red Wings, he was battling for a pk role and Miller was better. Ritola might turn out to be a better scorer, but I really doubt he will be a better pker/4th liner this year. It's the salary cap era, you are going to lose decent players, especially when the Wings are as deep as they are. I just don't see how Ritola's offensive upside is more important than Miller's defensive upside that's he already proven many times at the NHL level. Not to mention Miller had comparable numbers to Ritola in the AHL, I don't get why you think Ritola has a higher upside offensively than Miller anyways.
-
What makes you think Miller has less upside than Ritola? What evidence makes you think Ritola is a better pker/4th line than Miller?
