It definitely wasn't fair that Ovechkin got thrown under the bus, it wasn't his fault that his coach was well out coached. But one series isn't going to be the defining factor in determining who is better Crosby or Ovechkin. It's going to be one or the other depending on who had a better game that day. It's just personal preference.

Gionta and Cammellerri didn't have to go against the best goalie in the playoffs. Exactly, and personally I don't think it's a fair criticism. The main person I blame on Washington is their coach that completely refused to match lines or change strategy.

Even when the Pens lose people still ***** about the reffing claiming conspiracy? Come on, every game has just been awful officiating. It's not like the calls were heavily favored one side like the Wings game 3 verse the Sharks... And claiming the ref intentionally kicked the puck to a pens player is just completely laughable these refs probably don't have the foot-eye coordination to stand on a scale not to mention trying to kick a hockey puck at the pace of an NHL game...

I don't know about "more" blame. They were both their team's best players and both under performed. Ovechkin really hurt his team with his superman rushes where he tried to go around 5 people and shoot from the blue line. But Crosby/Malkin sure didn't perform up to par either. I really do think more credit should be given to Halak then Ovechkin/Crosby/Malkin should be blamed. Because they all had great on the door chances that Halak just simply stopped.

So really Nabokov is like the only goalie left that is paid anything. Really interesting... Glad the Wings don't waste money on a so called "elite" goaltender.

As good as Michael Cammalleri's been Halak has been far and away the best player so far in the playoffs. Edit: So I take it someone doesn't like Halak?

I love how everyone is surprised that the Penguins are held to the same standards as the rest of the teams. The whining here saddens me.
