So, there is no need to discuss things on a discussion forum? Awesome. Look all I'm saying is if you are surprised that an NHL player can disappear for a period or two then I disagree. There isn't a player in the history of the game that was dominant for every shift, it doesn't matter if you are Gretzky or Andrew Alberts. This isn't even about Crosby, if I said that Datsyuk was invisible for 2 periods, yet had 2 points I would be getting torched with a flame thrower.
-
A lot of talk about NJ trying to get Carey Price. They need to do something.
-
Because I'm the only one that questioned that statement...
-
If you think a hockey player is dominant every shift he ever takes you need to watch more hockey.
-
San Jose taking over now, Colorado doesn't look like they came to play.
-
Soo your point is that the NHL is inconsistent? Well no s*** haha. I don't see how that effects my position on this situation.
-
I'm not changing the definition of a kick. A kick is to strike an object with your foot. And he did. It's simple.
-
Just because you want to read into the rules doesn't mean they aren't following them. It doesn't matter why his foot was going forward. This isn't about intent. It's about the fact that his foot moved to strike the puck that directly resulted in a goal.
-
Kick. To strike out with the foot or feet. Looked like he struck the puck with his foot did it not? If his foot wasn't going forward that would be redirecting. But he moved his foot to make contact with the puck. Pretty cut and dry.
-
Oh hey Pens get another penalty. Maybe the refs are just bad?
-
Dumb play by Spezza.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=27011 Here you go. Clearly outlined and defined. Protip: Kicking motion in hockey is not the same as a kicking motion in soccer.
-
You obviously don't watch enough hockey to know the difference between kicking and redirecting the puck. He clearly tried to kick the puck back up to his stick and missed his stick. The Penguins hate on this board is hilarious, I don't see how that play could be taken as anything but a distinct kicking motion.
-
Crosby doesn't need to kick the puck to score goals though, that's the difference. Crosby understands the rules in hockey, and follows them.
-
You have to be kidding me? That's clearly not a goal, it's not even debatable especially with the other kicking goals so far this playoffs.
-
Yep that's definitely a kicking motion. inb4 penguins conspiracy.
-
Big save by Fleury.
-
Yes, he refused to sign something for a young kid. Exactly what I said.
-
The video doesn't lie man. Are you saying the French media may be biased? Come on now...
-
At 1:16 the guy in the suit wanted an autograph for his kid and Ovechkin just turned his back. And people wonder why the NHL doesn't try to promote him as much as other great players...
-
Actually Ovechkin refused to sign anything for the boy. http://videos.lcn.canoe.ca/video/en-vedette/les-dernieres-nouvelles/8805187001/alexander-ovechkin-et-son-coequipier-alexander-semin/79278319001 Yet it's Ovechkin, he can't do anything wrong, right?
-
It would be vice versa actually.
-
The Red Wings don't have anyone as talented as Crosby(Except for Lidstrom). Come on now.
-
Good for Dom. Great to see he still has it.

I think I know you.
