I'm just not a fan of giving the Hart to a goalie unless he just has close to a record year. Miller deserves the Vezina, but I don't think he's been dominate enough to win a Hart like Hasek was.

Yep, I lived near West Chicago/Southfield until about 7 years ago. The whole area is just helpless and awful. I wouldn't wish anyone to live like that. Luckily the worst thing to happen to me was just a couple cars stolen and one armed robbery.

Hopefully he can develop his defensive play a little smoother than Kindl. But Brendan has all the physical tools to be a great NHLer definitely have high hopes for him.

I don't attempt to derail any thread or troll, everyone just assumes I'm trying to tie everything into Crosby. This thread I originally posted a snide sarcastic comment that was supposed to point at how Backstrom and Semin are going under the radar when Backstrom is approaching 100 points for the first time in his career and Semin is putting up a crazy amount of goals as well. After that post someone replied and said I called Ovechkin a piece of crap,I tried to clarify that I believe Ovechkin is clearly the best goal scorer in the league, and that my purpose was to call attention to Backstrom/Semin. Then someone replied that Backstrom is getting credit and told me I'm wrong to say that Semin is playing with Ovechkin. I reply that Semin is apart of 30% of Oveckin's points and use a tone similar to the one directed at me. Then the troll card gets thrown at me and the thread is derailed. Drake calls me jealous and then I try to talk about my position that Ovechkin's teammates hinder his value in my eyes compared to what another Hart trophy contender has to work with. I would love to have well thought out posts to respond to and debate whether or not my perspective on a certain subject is skewed or not, it's just unfortunate that the maturity thrown back at me is at the stage of being called a "*****" or "troll" when I'm trying to do is discuss hockey.

So I'm not allowed to discuss the Hart trophy in a thread about Ovechkin scoring 50 goals?

Wouldn't be fair. The intimidation factor with a man advantage is just simply cheating.

Not every thread. But considering Crosby is competing with Ovechkin for the Rocket, Ross and Hart I wanted to give my two cents why Crosby will get the nod for Hart.

Just a note Ovechkin has 5 empty net goals, Crosby has 1, Stamkos 2.

Well I was being sarcastic when I said "carried". Obviously Ovechkin is the main cog in that machine. When it comes down to who is more valuable, I just think Ovechkin has a major advantage in scoring by playing with elite offensive talent and system when Crosby has Guerin/Dupuis/Kuntiz and a injured Malkin on the PP all year.

Not even a competition. Which is insane considering mindfly actually posts negative things about the Red Wings.

Semin has been involved on about 30% of Ovechkin's points. A part of posting in a thread is knowing what you are trying to discuss.
