What can I say. It's easy to improve when my inspiration in life is Sidney Crosby.

It's a little early in both their careers to say who will go down best in their generation isn't it? They play two completely different styles as well, very hard to compare. (I think Yzerman will be happy with all the cups then the individual recognition by the way.)

I need to go away because I think the league's current goal scoring leader and a perennial 100 point forward isn't better than a 40 year old defenseman(No disrespect to Lidstrom at all, I'd certainly take him in his prime over anyone in the league for the record)? No offense, but I'm going to need an explanation here...

Nice double standard there. I defend Crosby, I don't attack people. My post in this thread had nothing to do with Crosby yet some Wings fan feels that he needs to bring him up. I find this funny and it doesn't bother me. Unfortunatley I'm a sucker for a good discussion and it seems that's not liked here... Anyways onto the Bruce vs. Crosby whining thing. Crosby is a young kid and Bruce is an almost 60 year old man if you cannot see the diferrence there I'm sorry.

I cannot stand the Capitals because of one person, and one person only. Bruce Boudreau. I cannot stand how he looks, acts, speaks, whines, eats, and most of all coaches. He's never going to have successful in the playoffs until he instills at least some defensive mind into his top players. Backstrom could be so much better of an overall player if he had a different coach...

Wing's players never usually get the individual recognition they probably deserve in different hockey cities, but Howard is unproven when it comes to the playoffs so it's a huge question mark. Although I'd like to know what exactly Loungo/Anderson/Bryzgalov/Kipper have done in the playoffs that make them more likely to do better than Howard.

Then you don't watch the Penguin's much no offense. Saying Malkin is better than Crosby is laughable to any Penguin's fan. He's so inconsistent, Crosby gives 100% all the time whether you hate him or not. And saying his defensive game is average is exactly what I'm talking about here. He's no where near a Kesler/Datsyuk, but he is a tier below he's much better than you give him credit for.

I'll try and keep this civil. Ovechkin in the best scorer without a doubt. I just value Crosby's defensive game more. He's unbelievable in battles around the net and in the corners and it often goes unappreciated. Ovechkin's job is to score, in Boudreau's system he gets free reign to do pretty much anything and is not relied on the defensive coverage as much as Crosby is just purely on position. I'm always going to value a great center over a great winger. I'd rather have Fedorov over Bure, Forsberg over Jagr, Yzerman over Hull and I'd rather have Crosby over Ovechkin.

Well fine 2007, I was just using a year around Lidstrom's prime that's all. By the way, good job bringing up Ovechkin. Who is trolling now though?

All I want to see is the Wings win everything. And for the Wings to beat Chicago in a 7 game series in the WCF just to add to Hossa's disappointments(And I love him, great great player).

I enjoy having two good goalies.

I wouldn't mind adding him in a couple years as a free agent. I really doubt it though, he's going to be overpaid until the end of his career.
